8A Unit 5 Wild animalsIntegrated skills 课题:八年级上册 英语 Unit 5 Integrated skills 教材简解:本课的教学内容是牛津英语八年级上册第五单元第四课时。本课时PartA1部分要求学生在听中理解不同野生动物(老虎和狼)的外貌、习性、主要食物以及各自面临的危险;A2部分所听和所读的信息将一篇关于野生动物的文章补充完整。B部分鼓励学生学会用英语谈论如何保护野生动物。本节课主要通过听力训练来培养良好的听力习惯和提高获取信息的能力。目标预设: 1. 识别不同野生动物的外貌、习性、主要食物以及各自面临的危险。 2. 掌握与保护野生动物相关的四会单词、短语及句子。 3. 能够从听力材料中获取有用的信息并结合所读信息将文章补充完整。 4. 学会用英语谈论如何保护野生动物。重点难点: 1. 识别不同野生动物的外貌、习性、主要食物以及各自面临的危险。。 2. 学会用英语谈论如何保护野生动物。。设计理念:以学生为课堂主体,打造真学课堂。设计思路:1. 在Lead-in这个环节,让学生通过欣赏视频和观看图片,初步感受跟野生动物相关的知识,从而引出本课的主题Helping wild animals,在复习旧知识的同时为新课做好准备。 2. 在Presentation环节,通过听前、听中、和听后三环节的设置,运用任务型教学,巧设听力任务,设置和构筑良好的语言情境,提高获取语言所传达信息的能力。 3. 通过小组的讨论,在此基础上,进而能用英语谈论如何保护野生动物,从而培养学生语用的能力。教学过程:Step one :Lead-in1. Watch a short video of wild animals and ask some questions. T: Hello! Boys and girls! We watched a video of wild animals. What did you see just now? The more, the better!S1: Elephant. S2: Camel. S3: Giraffe. ……T: Among all the animals, which is your favourte ? And why?S1: I like … best because … . S2: I like … best because … . I believe after this class, you’ll love them more.设计意图:通过视频展示各种野生动物,创设真实的语言情境,鼓励学生根据实际情况用所学知识进行问答,在复习旧知识的同时并由此引入本课时的主题。Step two : Presentation—Part A1. Task 1: Pre-listening. T: Look at the picture, what animal will we talk about today? S: Tigers.T: Yes. Before listening, I’d like all of you to guess the possible keys. Read the information carefully.S1: I think No. 2 may be yellow.S2: I think No. 23 may be black.T: OK, good. Next let’s listen to check Show listening tip 1.—Guessing before listening.设计意图:让学生阅读课本第63页的关于老虎的信息,一是获取有效信息,对接下来所要听的材料有初步的了解,二是根据考生的现有知识可以对少数的空格进行猜测,优化听前活动,提高听力效果。2. Task 2: While-listening(1) Part A1---About tigers.T: Next we’ll listen to the tape. I’d like No. 4 in each group to write down the answers on the boards. Play the tape for the students twice to fill in the blanks of A1(tigers).Check the answers in groups and then read the fact sheet loudly Make a dialogue in pairs.Eg. A: What do tigers look like? B: Tigers are … . They have … .A: What can tigers do? B: They can … .A: What qualities do tigers have? B: They like to … .A: What do they often eat? B: They eat … .A: What danger are they facing? B: 设计意图:听前让学生学会根据上下文对所听内容进行合理预测,听中对预测内容进行校对。在校队答案后,让学生仔细阅读信息,就第一部分内容进行相互之间的问答,从而更好地理解文本内容。(2) Part A1---About wolves.T: Next we’ll listen to the information about woves. I’d like No. 5 in each group to write down the answers on the boards.Play the tape for the students twice to fill in the blanks of A1(woves). Check the answers in groups and then read the fact sheet loudly. Make a dialogue in pairs.设计意图:将A1内容进行合理的分割处理,降低学生在听中的难度,从而更好地理解文本内容,为A2打下基础,同时也为Post-listning 中对动物的描述降低难度。(3) Part A2—Fill in the blanks according to the information in A1.Read the passage quickly and try to get the main idea, then fill in the blanks.Invite two students to read the two paragraphs to check the answers. Look at the screen at the same time.Ask students to read the letter together. Try to remember the information as much as possible. Task 2: Post-listening (1)Say something about tigers or wolves in groups.Act it out in groups to describe tigers or wolves. Eg:I’m a tiger. I’m big and strong. I have bright eyes. I have orange fur with black stripes. I’m beautiful. I can run very fast, but only for a short while. I’m able to swim and climb. I like to live alone. I like eating animals. Now, we are in danger because hunters catch us for our fur, bones or other patrs of the body.设计意图:让学生以学习小组的方式来描述老虎或者狼的外貌、习性、主要食物以及各自面临的危险,一方面小组互帮互助,另一方面检查学生掌握情况,达到语用的目的。(2)Pair work: Describe other animalsUse part A1 as a model.
