    Students will be able t write plite and indirect questins abut different tpics related t a shrt study trip in an English-speaking cuntry.
    Students will be able t cmpse a plite letter t ask fr infrmatin they need.
    Students will be able t cmplete the exercises in Self Check accurately and use the target language in different cntexts.
    2. Language Knwledge
    Students will master and apply the key vcabulary and sentence structures learned in this unit, such as "Culd yu please...", "May I knw...", etc.
    Students will understand and use exclamatry sentences crrectly.
    3. Affective Attitudes
    Students will develp the awareness f being plite when asking fr infrmatin.
    Students will enhance their cnfidence in cmmunicating in English.
    4. Learning Strategies
    Students will learn t plan and rganize their writing thrugh pre-writing activities.
    Students will learn t check and crrect their wn wrk thrugh self-evaluatin and peer evaluatin.

    五、Teaching Prcedures
    Step 1: Lead-in (5 minutes)
    1. Begin the class by shwing sme pictures r vides abut study trips t English-speaking cuntries.
    2. Ask students a few questins t aruse their interest, such as: "Have yu ever dreamed f ging n a study trip t an English-speaking cuntry? What d yu think yu need t knw befre ging?"
    Step 2: Pre-writing (10 minutes)
    1. Present the tpics in 3a t the students: music, class time, places t eat, accmmdatin, activities, and transprtatin t schl.
    2. Guide students t think abut what questins they wuld like t ask fr each tpic. Fr example, fr the tpic f music, they might ask "Culd yu please tell me if there are any music clubs r bands at the schl?"
    3. Have students wrk individually t write dwn their questins. Encurage them t use plite and indirect language.
    4. Invite several students t share their questins and discuss as a class.
    Step 3: Writing a letter (15 minutes)
    1. Explain the task f 3b t the students: they need t write a plite letter based n the questins they wrte in 3a.
    2. Prvide the example letter and analyze its structure and language features with the students:
    Intrductin: intrduce neself and state the purpse f the letter.
    Arrival time: mentin when they will arrive.
    Questins: plitely present the questins written in 3a.
    Cnclusin: express gratitude and lk frward t a reply.
    3. Have students start writing their letters. Remind them t pay attentin t grammar, spelling, and punctuatin.
    4. Circulate arund the classrm t prvide individual guidance and supprt.
    Step 4: Grup Wrk and Peer Evaluatin (10 minutes)
    1. Have students frm grups f fur. Within the grups, students exchange their letters and read each ther's wrk.
    2. Guide students t use a checklist t evaluate their peers' letters based n the fllwing criteria:
    Are the questins plite and indirect?
    Is the letter well-structured?
    Are there any grammar r spelling mistakes?
    3. Have students give feedback and suggestins t each ther.
    Step 5: Self Check (5 minutes)
    1. Present the Self Check exercises t the students.
    Fr the first part, have students cmplete the blanks with the given wrds and explain the reasns fr their chices.
    Fr the secnd part, guide students t rewrite the sentences as exclamatry sentences and write sentences abut their favrite festivals using the given wrds.
    2. Check the answers tgether and clarify any dubts r misunderstandings.
    Step 6: Summary and Hmewrk (5 minutes)
    1. Summarize the key pints f this lessn, emphasizing the imprtance f being plite when asking fr infrmatin and the language skills practiced.
    2. Assign hmewrk: Ask students t revise their letters based n the feedback frm their peers and submit them.
