    The “Start f Spring”, “Start f Summer”, “Start f Autumn” and “Start f Winter” divide the year int fur seasns. Each f the seasns is then divided int six parts, and each part lasts abut 15 days. The slar terms can fall n different dates. They smetimes mve a day r tw.
    The 24 slar terms are very useful in daily life. Fr example, they help farmers decide when t plant their crps. The slar terms als play an imprtant part in traditinal Chinese culture. Peple celebrated these days in different ways in the past, such as eating special lcal dishes. Many f these traditins cntinue in ur times. Fr example, peple still eat spring rlls and spring pancakes t celebrate the “Start f Spring”.

    A seasns jurnal helps yu explre and recrd the fur seasns. In this prject, yu are ging t learn hw t keep a seasns jurnal.
    Step 1 Think abut what yu want t recrd in each seasn. Fr example: • Plants and animals. Chse smething easy t bserve, such as the trees utside yur windw. Write dwn what they lk like every tw r three days, r every week. • Festivals and activities. There are sme traditinal festivals in each seasn. Write dwn what yu d n thse days. • Yur feelings. Write dwn hw yu feel in this seasn. • Qutes r pems yu like abut each seasn, as well as suitable phts. Step 2 Design the layut f yur jurnal. In a jurnal, the date, weather and temperature are usually included. If there is a festival r slar term n that day, write it dwn. Here is an example:
    Step 3 Share yur jurnal with yur classmates every mnth r every tw mnths. Yu will find interesting changes in yur jurnal.
