    Let Ss watch a vide abut pllutin and the envirnmental prtectin, then answer the questins:

    Ask Ss t listen t the interview and circle the pllutin that have been talked abut.

    Pre-reading
    Divide Ss int grups f fur. Ask each grup t discuss the effective ways t prtect the envirnment and slve the prblems f pllutin. Then, ask each grup t share their answers t the whle class.
    After all the grups have shared their answers, T can use the examples frm P15-P19 t make a cnclusin.
    While-reading
    T may wish t invite tw vlunteers t rle-play the given cnversatin, then ask Ss t identify the ways f slving the envirnmental prblems mentined in the cnversatin, withut referring t their textbks. T can ask Ss t write a shrt paragraph t summarize the prblems and the suggested slutins.
    Shw the chart n PPT P22 t Ss, ask them t read 2d again and cmplete the chart.

    cst, spend, take与pay的区别:
    cst的主语是物,宾语是金钱,sth. cst(s) (sb.) sme mney指“某物花费(某人)多少钱”;
    spend的主语是人,宾语是时间或金钱,sb. spend(s) sme time/ mney n sth.指“某人花费时间/金钱在某事/物上”,sb. spend(s) sme time/ mney ding sth.指“某人花费时间/金钱做某事”;
    take常用it作形式主语,宾语是时间,it takes sb. sme time t d sth.指“做某事花费某人多长时间”;
    pay主语是人,宾语是金钱,sb. pay(s) sme mney fr sth.指“某人为某物付费”。

    This is the secnd perid f the unit. In the unit we talk abut pllutin and envirnmental prtectin. S it is imprtant t get the students t learn wrds and phrases abut the tpics in this unit. We will review sme structures and tenses and get the students t practice them in listening and speaking. They are “shuld+d; used t+d; have / has+dne; be+dne; be+ding”. The tpic is an imprtant cntent in ur life and students shuld learn t use the wrds and structures t talk abut and write abut it. S much practice shuld be dne in the perid and in later perids.
