活动一:感知与注意(Talk abut Festivals)
Ask students t read the fllwing tw festivals and talk abut them。
Thanksgiving Day, as celebrated in Nrth America, is a time t gather with family and friends t give thanks fr the many blessings enjyed by these natins and their citizens. Hwever, t many peple, its meaning is lst. It has becme simply anther day fr huge meals, dinner parties, get-tgethers r reunins. what des Thanksgiving mean t yu? Turkey dinners, cranberries, candied yams, stuffing, mashed ptates, pumpkin pie and family gatherings-these are all cmmnly assciated with mst Americans’ and Canadians yearly celebratin f giving thanks— Thanksgiving Day!
Hallween is an autumn hliday that Americans celebrate every year. It means "hly evening", and it cmes every Octber 31, the evening befre All Saints Day. Hwever, it is nt really a church hliday, it is a hliday fr children mainly.

1.Listen fr specific infrmatin.(Part 1,P7)
First g thrugh the questins with students and make sure they understand their tasks and then play the tape fr students t listen and get the answers in Part 1.

Listen t the secnd time and tick the phrases that Max r Sng Lin uses. If necessary,play the tape again fr students t check the answers.

活动三:获取相关背景信息
Smething abut the Spring Festival in China.
The Spring Festival is the mst imprtant festival fr the Chinese peple, just like Christmas in the West.
It’s t celebrate the lunar calendars new year. In the evening befre the Spring Festival, families get tgether and have a big meal. Peple put New Year scrlls n the wall fr gd frtune. In many places peple like t set ff firecrackers.
The Spring Festival falls n the lst day f the lst lunar mnth, ften ne mnth later than the Gregrian calendar. Strictly speaking, the Spring Festival starts every year in the early days f the 12th lunar mnth and will last till the mid first lunar mnth f the next year. Of them the mst imprtant days are the Spring Festival Eve and the first three day.
Children like the festival very much, because they can have delicius fd and wear new clthes. They can als get red packet frm their parents. This mst red packet is given t children fr gd luck.
Befre the New Year cmes, peple cmpletely clean the indrs and utdrs f their hmes as well as their clthes, bed clthes and all their utensils. Then peple begin decrating their clean rms featuring an atmsphere f rejicing and festivity.
All the dr panels will be pasted with Spring Festival cuplets highlighting Chinese calligraphy with black characters n red paper. The cntent varies frm huse wners,wishes fr a bright future t gd luck fr the New Year.

Ask students t read the fllwing structures ver and ver again unless they can speak fluently.
