    Step I 学习理解
    活动一:学习与理解(Discussin)(SB,P46,Part1)
    1.Ask students t read the intrductin f Karsts,and if necessary,ask students t lk up the wrds in the dictinary.
    2.G thrugh the tw sentences with students and help them understand the meanings.
    3.Ask students t wrk in pairs and discuss the tw questins.
    (1)Wuld yu like t have a g at karst climbing?Why r why nt?
    (2)What can rck climbing bring t climbers?
    【设计意图】在观看视频之前,学生先阅读喀斯特地貌的介绍,了解相关背景知识,为理解视频内容作好铺垫。
    活动二:获取与梳理(SB,P46,Part2)
    1.Befre watching the vide,g thrugh the wrds in the bx and the fur sentences with students and make sure they understand the meanings.
    2.Play the vide and ask students t chse the wrds and try t fill in it.
    3.Ask students t share the answers first in pairs and then with the whle class. Suggested answers:
    1.spectacular 2.gymnastic ; natural 3.unexplred 4.amazing;adventurus

    活动三:Discussin(SB,P46,Part3)
    1.First g thrugh the questins and then ask students t wrk in grups t discuss the questins.
    2.Describe yur feelings after watching the vide. Hw are they the same as r different frm the feelings the climber describes when he talks abut climbing the karsts?
    3.What is yur pinin f extreme sprts such as rck climbing?Is it smething wrthwhile t d?Why r why nt?
    【设计意图】在观看视频后,设计了两个问题:第一个问题是描述观看视频后的个人感受,第二个问题是阐释学生对攀岩类似的极限运动的观点,讨论这类活动是否值得做,并说明原因。通过这两个活动,引发学生对极限运动的思考,加深对主题意义的理解。

    活动四:词汇复习(Fill in the blanks)(SB,P44,Part1)
    1.G thrugh the wrds in the bx and make sure students understand their meanings.
    2.Ask students t read the passage and fill in the blanks with the crrect frms f the wrds in the bx.
    3.Share the answers first in pairs r grups and then with the whle class.
    Suggested answers:
    Sprts play a very valuable rle in children’s lives Children wh cmpete in a sprt will learn hw t deal with failure,because even thugh they wrk hard t master the skills needed fr a sprt,it des nt mean they will always win. Sprts als help children see that cheating is flish In sprts,there is n use pretending t fall dwn r be hurt,because in the end,the audience will see thrugh Taking part in sprts events is fun but nt always easy,s it helps children learn hw t deal with stress,smething that everyne must learn t face in life.
    【设计意图】该活动为选择恰当单词完成一段介绍孩子参加体育活动的短文,属于词汇练习,旨在具体语境中练习本单元词汇,提高学生运用词汇的能力。
    活动五:语法再现:(Cmplete the cnversatin)(SB, P44,Part 2)
    1.Ask students t read the cnversatin and understand its meaning. If necessary,help students understand any difficult sentences they may think.
    2.Ask students t read the cnversatin and try t cmplete the cnversatin with apprpriate tag questins r answers.
    3.Share the answers first in pairs r grups and then with the whle class.
    Suggested answers:
    A:There’s a basketball game at ur schl this Saturday,isn’t there?
    B:Yeah,ur schl is playing against N.2 Senir High Schl.
    A:Oh,gd!I really want t see ur team play. I missed the last game. Yu went,didn’t yu?
    B:Oh yes,I did!It was a great game. S yu re planning t g this Saturday,aren’ t yu?D yu want t g tgether?
    A:Sure!I’d lve t. What time shall we meet?
    B:Well,the game starts at 1:00 p.m.,s I can cme t yur hme at 12:30 and we can walk t schl tgether. Yu’ll be cming frm hme,wn’t yu?
    A: N, I wn’t. I’ll be at the library mrning studying fr that big test n Mnday.
    B: Oh, then why dn’t we meet utside the library at 12:15?
    A: I’ll need t stp at the ndle restaurant and get smething t eat befre the game. Yu wuldn’t mind, wuld yu?
    B: Nt at all. I’ve never said n t fd, have I? Hw abut meeting at 12: 00, ging there fr lunch tgether, and then heading t the game?
