学情分析
本节课授课对象为高二精英班学生。本班学生英语基础较好，学习态度认真，对英语学习热情高。学生已经具备比较成熟的阅读能力和掌握跳读、略读等阅读技巧，大部分同学都具有较好的的英语阅读能力和英语口语表达能力。在本课学习之前，首先学生对加拿大火车旅行话题没有很多的了解及思考，因此，教师借此文本引导学生欣赏本篇火车旅行日记，从地点、交通工具、时间、活动及感受五个方面让学生分析总结文本，并进行知识迁移，输出自己的旅行体验。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时，学生将能够：
阅读横跨加拿大的长途火车旅行游记，把握文本的时间、空间线索，利用地图等非连续性本文梳理主人公的旅行见闻。
通过阅读加拿大长途火车旅行游记深入了解加拿大自然、人文地理概况和历史文化。
通过长途旅行话题的讨论，深入思考“读万卷书，行万里路”对人生的意义。
能够利用连续性和非连续性文本概况、梳理相关信息，包括旅行线路、见闻、感受等。
能够利用文本信息，并结合自身经历，进行知识迁移，分享自己的旅行。
