My name is Cathy. I lve singing pera. Even when I was a little girl,I dreamed f being an pera singer. I ften sang with my hair brush as my micrphne. My family is pr,and I never had any singing lessns. But I taught myself by listening t the radi and watching TV prgrams.
Cathy enjys herself s much when she is singing.
One year,ur schl rganized a talent shw. Sme students wanted t tell jkes,and thers wanted t dance. I wanted t sing,but I wasn't cnfident. “Maybe I'm nt gd enugh t be a singer,” I said t myself. My teacher encuraged me t take part in the shw. “Yur vice sunds beautiful. Believe in yurself .”
I chse my favurite pera sng and practiced every day.Finally,it was my turn. I std n the big stage. The lights were s bright,and there were s many peple in frnt f me. I felt my heart beating s fast!Then I saw my teacher smiling and my friends waving at me. They were there with me! Slwly I began t relax. The music started and I began t sing.
The day f the talent shw came. I waited and waited. Sme students were really gd. Their perfrmances were excellent. “Wuld I sund gd?” I felt a little nervus.When my sng was ver,all f the students clapped ludly. They all lved it!After the shw,my friends came t see me. “Well dne,Cathy! Yu will be a real pera singer smeday.”
