Elizabeth Barrett started t write petry frm abut the age f six. In1844, Elizabeth’s Pems brught her great success and als attracted the admiratin f pet Rbert Brwning. Brwning fell in lve with her petry and then they entered int persnal crrespndence. The cuple exchanged many letters, which bviusly helped sw the seeds f lve between the tw. Elizabeth had been ill fr many years. She stayed at hme and almst never saw visitrs. Brwning was sure abut his lve, s he fund a way t visit her, and immediately cnvinced her t becme his bride. Hwever, their subsequent marriage was carried ut in secret because her father was a dminant and selfish man wh wuld refuse t let his daughter g.
