    When Allen invited me t a camping trip t the muntains, I imagined us in a csy cabin verlking a lake, with a warm fireplace, ht cca and sft beds. But my happy imaginatin became a nightmare when Allen and his lder brther, Le, shwed up with a truck filled with camping equipment—tents, sleeping bags and water bttles. We were ging n survival training!
    The ever-efficient Le was keen t leave the city behind us and urged us t hurry. Several hurs later, as we drve thrugh the frest, the muntains seemed bigger than I remembered; the trees were larger, and the envirnment felt mre threatening.
    At the trailhead, Le tied a sleeping bag nt my already heavy pack and lectured Allen and me abut hiking rules. Then, with Le in the lead, we set ff alng the narrw and steep dirt track that wund up the muntain.
    After 6 hurs f climbing, we finally reached the tp. My legs aching, I drpped my pack and graned(呻吟)but there was n time t rest. “We need t set up camp quickly,” said Le. “There are dark cluds cming in. A strm is n its way.”
    I thught he was kidding, but Le was quite serius. He and Allen wrked expertly, while I std arund and pretended t help, thunder rumbling in the distance. We just finished putting up the tent when it hit. The wind, thunder, and lightning were relentless.
    Le, sensing that I was scared, started telling us sme stries abut his camping adventures. But each time lightning lit up the tent and the thunder eched, I jumped. “Dn’t wrry. Summer strms pass quickly,” said Le, trying t cmfrt me. “And at least the rain will keep the bears away,” he said with a teasing smile, which was less cmfrting.
    And just as quickly as the strm came rushing in, it passed, and we exited the tent. The view was incredible—I culd see fr miles. As darkness set in, I stared in wnder at the millins f glwing stars in the night sky.
    I wn’t lie—I was still wishing fr a ht shwer and a sft bed, but as I gazed upward at the Milky Way, I knew this was an adventure I wuld never frget.
