课时目标：
1.认知并灵活运用本课时的重点词汇 press，sht，flexible，capable，desire，
battery，stuff，virtual reality，wearable tech，in additin，never say never。
2.通过速读、精读等方式，引导学生由浅入深，逐层推进，加深对文章的
理解，掌握不同的阅读技巧和方法。
3.通过阅读文章，了解作家 Richard Fairhurst以及他的作品《新发明时代》，
引导学生展开联想，思考古今重大发明，了解更多关于发明家的故事，学习他们的优秀品质。

1.在网上搜索了解几部科幻影片的内容概要，了解其对未来科技的想象及其趋势走向。
2.预习 Starting ut和 Understanding ideas两部分的内容，通过查字典等方式提前解决词汇问题。

Read the passage quickly and answer the questins belw.

【设计意图】该部分用简答题的形式将课文主要内容展示出来，有助于学生理清文章脉络，掌握文章的主要内容，锻炼学生的概括归纳能力和语言表达能力。因为有原文提示，难度不大，因此将该题设置在了速读部分。

【设计意图】通过设置该题，进一步归纳、概括文章，理清文章脉络，有助于加深学生对文章的理解。同时，在读懂语篇的基础上，将英语语法、句法和词汇的知识融合在一起，更科学地反应学生的口头表达能力和英语综合程度。
