Peple used t hire her regularly t create art fr marketing materials r t illustrate children's bks. Last year, almst n ne reached ut abut these types f jbs. The rise f AI may help explain this. “At times I think it's a bad dream,” she says. “I feel scared and angry, but als pretty sad.”
Using AI t create an image is quick and easy. There are many ppular image generatrs. They are cheap r even free t use. They als pse threats t sme artists' jbs.
But the prblems g deeper than that. These images were scraped(勉强获得) frm the Internet. Data scraping autmatically pulls files frm web pages. Often, n ne asks permissin r checks what these files cntain. Thusands f artists’ names and wrks have been fund in the data set. Illegal r harmful images and peple's persnal phts are als amng thse data.
Raden desn't like the way AI image generatrs were trained r hw they' re being used.“It will have a bad effect,” she says. Many artists agree with her.

A team f researchers led by an archaelgist at the University f Sydney are the first t suggest that eyed needles(针) were a new technlgical innvatin used t decrate clthing fr scial and cultural purpses.

When yu lk at different cultures, yu realize that peple existed and functined perfectly enugh in sciety,” Dr. Gilligan says. “What interests me is the change f clthing frm being a physical necessity in certain envirnments, t a scial necessity in all envirnments.”
The earliest knwn eyed needles appeared abut 40,000 years ag in Siberia. One f the man-made bjects frm the Stne Age, eyed needles are mre difficult t make when cmpared t bne awls(尖钻), which was used fr creating fitted clthing. Bne awls are tls made f animal bnes that are sharpened. Eyed needles are revised bne awls, with a hle in them. As evidence suggests bne awls were already being used t create tailred clthes, the innvatin f eyed needles may reflect the prductin f mre cmplex(复杂的) clthing, as well as the decratin f clthes by attaching small decrative items nt them.
Dr. Gilligan and his c-authrs argue that clthing became an item f decratin because traditinal bdy decratin methds, like bdy painting, weren't pssible during the latter part f the last Ice Age in clder parts f Eurasia, because peple were needing t wear clthes all the time t survive.
The changes f clthing allwed larger and mre cmplex scieties t frm, as peple culd relcate t clder climates while als cperating with their cmmunity based n shared clthing styles and symbls. The skills assciated with clthing cntributed t a mre sustainable(可持续的) lifestyle and imprved the lng-term survival and prsperity f human cmmunities.
32. What was Dr. Gilligan's dubt related t?
A. The functin f clthes. B. The lng histry f clthing.
C. The wide-spread area f clthing. D. The prcess f making clthes.
33. Why might eyed needles be cnsidered mre advanced than bne awls?
A. They were made f strnger materials.
B. They helped prduce fancier clthes.
C. They were easier t prduce than bne awls.
D. They were used mainly fr creating basic clthing.
34. What des the authr think f the changes f clthing?
A. Beneficial. B. Challenging. C. Impractical. D. Cnfusing.
35. What is a suitable title fr the text?
A. The histry f eyed needles: Their use in ancient China
B. The innvatin f bne awls: Impact n clthing decratin
C. The develpment f technlgy: Eyed needles and bne awls
D. The beginnings f fashin: Eyed needles and the changes f clthing
