    The Electric Fan: a Thing f the Past The days f keeping cl with electric fans are numbered. In recent years there has been a significant decrease in their use, and their bvius shrtcmings cmpared t air cnditiners make their cmplete disappearance in the near future pssible. Firstly, electric fans are far less effective in cling a rm. While the breeze they prduce can feel pleasant, it des nt lwer the verall temperature. Nt nly d air cnditiners achieve this, but their settings can be adjusted s that they can reach a specific, ideal temperature. Secndly, electric fans are ften less efficient at the use f space, as they usually need t be placed n either the flr r a table; in cntrast, air cnditiners are usually hung n walls.
