Starting ut是导入部分,包括观看视频回答问题和看图片回答问题两个环节。通过观看视频,引导学生观察视频中提到的体育赛事,并思考这些体育赛事的特征。通过看图片,了解三名杰出的运动健将:中国奥运会第一枚金牌获得者射击选手许海峰,加拿大的职业冰球明星韦恩·格雷茨基,俄罗斯撑杄跳运动员叶莲娜·伊辛巴耶娃。通过该活动,了解更多关于运动员的成绩和故事,并说出最鼓舞自己上进的运动员,可简要列举他们的主要事迹和成就。
Understanding ideas部分以人物传记的笔触讲述了美国传奇运动员斯蒂芬·库里的成功之路。父亲是职业篮球运动员,因此斯蒂芬从小就耳濡目染,在祖父搭建的简易的篮球场上流下奋斗的汗水。虽然他的身高不被教练看好,但是斯蒂芬没有放弃,刻苦训练,练就了卓绝的功力,成就了一代传奇。斯蒂芬的努力进取、坚持锻炼的精神鼓舞着很多运动爱好者。
课时目标:
1.认知并灵活运用本课时的重点单词 assciatin、sht、bunce、sharpen、expectatin、self-belief以及短语a far cry frm、give way、fllw in ne’s ftsteps、carry n、beynd ne’s expectatins、in a rw、in all directins、aim at、end up ding、set ut t d sth、believe in等。
