In space, even the mst straightfrward, everyday tasks can be quite difficult fr astrnauts wh are spending mnths n bard a spacecraft. In this zer gravity wrld, there is n up r dwn, and while sleeping n the ceiling might sund like fun, astrnauts need t be strapped t sleeping cmpartments t prtect themselves frm injury.
Althugh nt many peple enjy ding husewrk, astrnauts need t find the self-discipline t keep the small interir f their spacecraft clean; even using a vacuum cleaner t stp dust frm getting int the air filters. A vacuum cleaner als cmes in handy fr fetching items that are flating arund ut-f-reach!
Astrnauts als need t keep themselves clean. T d this, they use special sap and shamp which d nt need t be rinsed ff with water. After brushing their teeth, they spit int a twel.With n gravity t push against, astrnauts’ bnes and muscles can becme weak. In rder t stay fit, astrnauts have t exercise n a regular basis.
And while sme fd items, such as cakes and fruit can be eaten in mre r less the same way that they are n Earth, water needs t be added t much f the fd that is eaten in space. Nnetheless, a menu fr a hungry astrnaut can still be varied and balanced, ften including sup, prawn sandwiches, as well as fruit yghurt.
And as salt and pepper wuld simply flat away, astrnauts are prvided with these in liquid frm. Carrying ut these everyday tasks effectively helps the astrnauts stay healthy and fcus n their wrk in space — after all, imagine what wuld happen if they caught a cld and started t sneeze!

Keeping a jurnal allws yu t recrd what’s happening in yur life and t wrk thrugh yur thughts and feelings. Smetimes, yu might write a jurnal fr a special experience t help yu recrd what yu did and hw yu felt.
