Cleaning up the table, I caught sight f small rund plastic pieces. I discvered they were the tps r cvers f clr markers I had kept n the table. The nly difference was that smene gt thse cvers and chewed (咀嚼) them int shapelessness. On anther part f the table, I saw the clr markers dried up withut cvers. I was almst sure I knew wh had dne it and I culd nt understand the reasns behind his actins.
As I cnsidered my discvery, my annyance and anger gradually went away when I remembered that as a child, I did several strange things that must have made my mther mad. I cut ur shes, I chewed pens and pencils, and I wrte and drew pictures n walls and destryed many things at hme. The mind f a child is curius with the spirit f explratin, seeking t understand and test the limits (限制) f many things. Of curse, it can be cstly, but what is grwing up if n mistakes are made?
We call it paying the schl fees f life. If a child plays with a ht irn and it burns them, it is a given that they will nt g near the irn again. Smetimes I watch the children in my neighbrhd playing dangerus games. Smetimes I tell them nt t d it, but smetimes I let it pass. Children may nt want t be tld t stp riding as fast as they want until smene has fallen ff their bike. A child will nt listen when parents ask them t get dwn frm the tree until he has fallen dwn. Hwever, wisdm shws that if the behavir is deadly, yu shuld stp it in time.
Creativity is valuable. And this is why we shuld encurage children t remain creative rather than just receive everything they have knwn and seen. Allw children t make mistakes, but this must be fllwed with supervisin (监督), mnitring, and crrectin.
What happened t the authr’s clr markers?
They were stlen.B. They were destryed.
C. They were thrwn away.D. They were cleaned by mistake.
Hw did the writer feel when she thught f her childhd?
She gt very regretful.B. She calmed dwn.
C. She was very angry with herself.D. She was very happy.
What des the authr mainly want t shw in Paragraph 3?
Children can learn frm their mistakes.B. Mistakes are unavidable fr children.
C. Children ften put themselves in danger.D. Children must nt be allwed t make any mistakes.
What is the best title?
Children shuld be creative.B. Grw up thrugh mistakes.
C What happened t my clr markers?D. Why d children make mistakes?
D
Over the past few decades, children have been taking part less in free play and mre in rganized sprts. While participatin (参与) in rganized sprts has bth scial and physical benefits (益处) fr yung children, cncerns abut safety and benefits increase as participants get yunger.

Thugh it can cme frm many different surces—parents, caches, teammates r themselves—many children wh take part in rganized sprts feel pressured t succeed. While a little stress can be helpful in leading children t perfrm with increased fcus and strength, t much stress will leave yung kids feeling very tired.
Organized sprts are mre likely t put the right amunt f pressure n them.

Organized sprts can achieve kids’ ptential.
Mst children prefer free play t rganized sprts.
Organized sprts can better prtect kids frm getting hurt.
Mst children have a set time and place t exercise.
