It tells the stry f Mae as a little girl, wh always knew she had big dreams abut space. ,而Space by Libby Jacksn的第一句"This beautifully illustrated bk gives kids a lk at 50 wmen frm arund the wrld wh were invlved in explring space in sme way, frm the 19th century t the present day.
根据Chasing Space by Leland Melvin的"Kids will lve reading his stry abut hw he faced challenges and advanced ahead, and he als includes DIY experiments fr kids t try, and a sectin f full-clr phtgraphs.
Fr years, she had been cllecting fssils n their land in Mnre Cunty, unaware f significant scientific value. Hwever, her teacher at the Alabama Schl f Math and Science, Dr. Andrew Gentry, a palentlgist himself, tk an interest when she shwed him her cllectin.(多年来,她一直在门罗县的土地上收集化石,却不知道这些化石具有重大的科学价值。 Upn examining the fssil shark teeth Lindsey presented, I quickly identified ne and became eager t learn abut its rigin, said Andrew.(安德鲁说:"在检查了林赛展示的鲨鱼牙齿化石后,我很快发现了一颗,并渴望了解它的起源。")
    5.答案: A
Befre lng, they encuntered an especially significant find n the grunds; a large bne frm a 34-millin-year-ldwhale skeletn! 6.
Assuming the entire skeletn is present, it may require several years fr us t have the entire animal back in the lab, Andrew explained.(安德鲁解释说:假设整个骨骼都存在,我们可能需要几年时间才能将整个动物带回实验室。) We wuld g ut and pickup shark teeth and fssil shells, but we never knew anyne that culd tell us anything abut them, she recalled. "We just thught they were cl.(她回忆道:我们会出去捡鲨鱼牙齿和化石贝壳,但我们从来不知道有人能告诉我们任何关于它们的事情。
The Research Fellws Prgram allws Lindsey t gain real-wrld experience in scientific research and even present that research at prfessinal cnferences, "Andrew said. "It's a nce-in-a-lifetime pprtunity fr a high schl student t stand ut when applying t cllege and maybe even discver a new career path.

    11.答案: A

A cmpany spkespersn said the technlgy might be especially useful fr Japanese peple, whse traditinal diet favrs salty fds."

④根据后文"Peple ften try very hard t d things perfectly. Hwever, chasing perfectin can be a lsing battle. It’s ften mre helpful t have realistic expectatins and t be willing t adjust them depending n the circumstances.(人们常常努力把事情做得完美。

    ③"a frm f..."
