Jin Yucheng, the 9th Ma Dun Literature Prize winner, is famus fr his nvel Blssms. Nw he is shwing Shanghai art lvers that he is als a skilled painter.
On Nvember 25,2023, Jin Yucheng pened an exhibitin (展览) at the Bund One Museum in Shanghai. It will last until January 28, 2024. At the exhibitin, peple can see mre than 200 paintings, including 40 illustratins (插图) f the nvel Blssms.

“This ne earned a natinal award,” says Ma, pinting t a painting that cvers half f a wall.
Ma has enjyed painting since he was little. As his family was pr when he was a child, the crnfield was his wrkrm and brrwed cmic bks were his teachers.
“When my parents were farming, I liked t draw them n the back f my ntebk. And I traced patterns frm cmic bks t learn skills. “
I prefer t be called ‘farmer’ instead f ‘artist’. The farmland will always be my spiritual hme. Canvases (画布) are my fields, and I want t cme up with drawings t better reflect the aspiratins f farmers. “ he says.

Being disabled desn’t stp Guilhem Gallart, a French musician, frm making music. Fr many years, he was a successful recrd prducer and recrding artist. He was knwn as “Pne” and helped spread hip hp in France in the 1990s and early 2000s, creating many ppular sngs with his music grup Fnky Family.
In 2015, Pne was tld t have ALS. ALS is an illness that can influence the ability t mve, speak, eat and even breathe. There’s n medicine that wrks fr ALs at present. Because f it, Pne has t depend n a machine t breathe, and can’t mve any f his bdy parts except his eyes.
But technlgy has given Gallart new pssibilities. With the help f the certain sftware (软件), his eye mvements are tracked (跟踪), and as a result, he is able t write.
“I have nce again discvered Pne that I knew befre,” said his wife Wahiba. “And even strnger than he was befre.”
The effrt has resulted in a album (专辑), Listen and Dnate, which came ut in June, 2021. With this album, Pne hped t raise mney fr the rganizatin called Trakadm. The charity (慈善机构) was set up by him with tw dctrs. Its gal is t train mre care takers and help patients t receive care at hme. “Talking abut this with my dctrs, nurses and care takers, I fund that they weren’t trained well enugh, and that many f them wanted the chance. S Trakadm was brn,” he said.
