Atlantic spawning salmn (产卵鲑鱼) are making their way back t the spawning grunds in the waters f the Derwent River in Derbyshire, UK. This is the first time that salmn have returned t the waters f the upper river in 100 years.
While Atlantic salmn usually swim in the cean, they first live in freshwater rivers—as upstream as they can g. They begin their life in an egg that typically hatches in January r February. There is still a lng way t g, but the return f the salmn t the Derwent River after 100 years is a sign that this cnservatin effrt is already a success.
