Clara’s mm has a turtle in her hand! The turtle is small, and as Clara lks clser. she sees that ne leg is at an dd angle. “I think I brke its leg,” Clara’s mm says. “I’m really very srry. Will yu help me nurse it back t health?”
Clara feels bad fr the little turtle. Turtles mve slwly, s it prbably culd nt run away when it saw the lawn mwer cming. And Clara’s mm culd nt see the turtle in the lng grass! It was a mistake, but Clara and her mm will make it right. Clara names the turtle Phillip.
Clara and her mm take Phillip the turtle t the veterinarian. The vet takes an x-ray f Phillip’s leg, and cnfirms that it is brken.
