    我们常说的现在分词和动名词是怎么回事?
    现在分词和动名词都是由动词末尾加 -ing 形式构成,因此统称为动词的 -ing 形式。

    V–ing frm as the Adverbial(V-ing用作状语)
    V–ing frm as the Adverbial
    eg: 1. I am very happy. He runs slwly.
    2. He wrks hard t make mney.

    修饰动词,形容词,副词或整个句的词,短语或句子(状语从句),表示动作发生的原因、时间、方式、结果、条件、伴随状况等。
    Eg: Walking in the park, she saw an ld friend.
    V–ing作时间状语,相当于“when, while, until”等词引导的时间状语从句。
    V–ing作时间状语:
    walk的动作是由其逻辑主语“she”发出,与句子的主语she一致,且构成主动关系,所以用动词-ing形式。
    =When/while she was walking in the park, she saw an ld friend.
    Eg: Being ill, he culdn’t g t schl.
    V–ing作原因状语,可转换为由since, because或as引导的原因状语从句,这类状语多放在句子的前半部分。
    V–ing作原因状语:
    Be ill是其逻辑主语“he”的状态,与句子的主语he一致,且构成主动关系,所以用动词-ing形式。

    Eg: Wrking hard, yu’ll make great prgress.
    V–ing作条件状语时,可转换为if, nce或unless等引导的条件状语从句。
    V–ing作条件状语:
    Wrk的动作是由其逻辑主语“yu”发出,与句子的主语yu一致,且构成主动关系,所以用动词-ing形式。
    =If yu wrk hard, yu’ll make great prgress.
    Eg: Wrking r reading, she always did her best.
    V–ing作让步状语时,相当于一个以thugh/althugh引导的让步状语从句。
    V–ing作让步状语:
    Wrk r read的动作是由其逻辑主语“she”发出,与句子的主语she一致,且构成主动关系,所以用动词-ing形式。
    =Whether she wrked r read, she always did her best.
    Eg: 1. Please answer the questin using anther way.
    V–ing作方式状语时,表示谓语动词发生的某种方式,经常可以换成介词by短语。
    V–ing作方式状语:
    =Please answer the questin in anther way.

    =The painter drew a picture n the grund by using a stick.
    Eg: 1. His parents died, leaving him an rphan.
    V–ing作结果\伴随状语时,说明动作发生的结果和情况,相当于一个以and或s连接的并列句。
    V–ing作结果\伴随状语:
    =His parents died and left him an rphan.
    =Mary sat by the windw f the classrm and was reading a bk.

    1. 为使动词-ing作状语所表达的时间,条件,让步等更明确,可在V-ing形式前加上适当的连词(when, while, thugh, unless, if, even if等)。

    criticize和主语he是动宾关系,且criticize发生在gave up smking之前,所以用完成式的被动。
    5. V–ing 用于某些固定搭配中,表示说话人的态度,观点等,如: generally speaking, frankly/hnestly speaking, judging by/frm, cnsidering/seeing, suppsing等,不用考虑其和主语的关系。
    Eg:① Generally speaking, girls are mre careful than bys. ② Suppsing it rains, we will put ff the sprts meeting. ③Judging frm his accent, he must be frm the nrth.
