The bk teaches me a lt f things, the mst imprtant being — t be wh yu are. Why d we need t pretend t be smebdy else and prject a false image f urselves t lk better? In a later study, by scanning (扫描) the brains f 40 teens and adults, Steinberg fund the brains f teenagers, but nt adults, shwed greater activity in tw regins assciated with rewards when they were being bserved by same-age peers. The reward systems f the brain are activated whenever peple experience smething rewarding, like eating a nice-tasting fd, which make them feel satisfied. In this case, rewards are greater fr teens, which mtivates them t seek higher-risk experiences.
But Steinberg thught peer pressure might als have its psitive side. In the latest study, Steinberg’s team used a card game t research hw peers affect the way yung peple gather and apply infrmatin. It invlved 101 teenage bys wh played either alne r with three peers. They chse cards frm fur decks (牌堆) : tw decks had"gd" cards, and tw"bad" nes. Players with peers were mre willing t take risks, trying t figure ut which decks culd help them t win. The results shwed that teens playing with their peers engage in mre explratry behavir, learn faster and achieve better perfrmance n the task than thse playing alne.
Nw sme experts are prpsing that we shuld take advantage f the teens’ keen sensitivity (敏感) t the presence f friends t imprve educatin. "Risk taking in an educatinal cntext is a vital skill that enables prgress and creativity," wrte Sarah-Jayne Blakemre, a prfessr at University Cllege Lndn.

This curse ffers hands-n training in making interesting vides n tpics f yur chice.
Learn the basics f carpentry, including the safe use f tls, as yu create functinal and decrative items like tables, birdhuses and musical bxes.(在你创造一些功能性和装饰性的物品,如桌子、鸟舍和音乐盒时,学习木工的基础知识,包括工具的安全使用)"和"Schedule: Mndays, 3:30 PM4:30 PM(时间安排:周一下午3:30至4:30)"可知,在木工课中,学生可以学习制作手工装饰,上课时间为周一下午3:30至4:30。故选B项。
Take part in singing and dancing t a variety f lively sngs. Wrk tgether with ther members t stage an impressive end-f-term perfrmance.(配合各种活泼的歌曲,参与歌舞表演。
Anne f Green Gables is ideally meant fr children - ne might think s when seeing the cver r reading thrugh the back page f the masterpiece. It was first published in the year 1904, authred by Lucy Maud Mntgmery, but it still cnnects t tday's wrld where we frget t live in the present.(《绿山墙的安妮》是儿童的理想之作--当人们看到封面或翻阅这部杰作的封底时,可能会这么认为。
5.答案: A
The bk teaches me a lt f things, the mst imprtant being 一t be wh yu are. Why d we need t pretend t be smebdy else and prject a false image f urselves t lk better? We need t realize that we are all different in ur wn way and accept urselves first. 故选A。
I believe the nicest and sweetest days are nt thse n which anything very splendid r wnderful r exciting happens butjust thse that bring simple little pleasures(我相信,最美好、最甜蜜的日子并不是那些发生了任何精彩、美妙或激动人心的事情的日子,而是那些带来简单小快乐的日子)"可知,生活中的点滴小事情就是最美好、最甜蜜的日子,因此最符合第19章的引文的是:停下来闻一闻玫瑰花。故选D。
With its uplifting and refreshing stry, it is a wnderful read fr peple f all ages seeking a jyful and enriching literary jurney
New research suggests links between ultra-prcessed (超加工) fds... and changes in the way we learn, remember and feel.",表明超加工食品与我们学习、记忆和感受的方式变化存在关联,所以如果吃太多超加工食品,可能会出现记忆方面的问题,比如难以记住英语单词和短语等情况,C选项符合文意。
Peple have a very strng desire fr ultra-prcessed fds and eat them cmpulsively and find they can’t stp eating them",这里说人们对超加工食品有强烈欲望,而且吃的时候是一种无法控制自己的状态,停不下来,"cmpulsively"意思就是"难以控制地,不由自主地",与"Uncntrllably"意思相近,A选项"Strngly(强烈地)"侧重程度强,但不一定是无法控制;B选项"Extremely(极其,非常)"强调程度极端,不符合此处语境;C选项"Equally(平等地,同样地)"不符合句子表意,所以答案是D选项。
In a study, fur days f having a breakfast high in saturated (饱和的) fat and added sugar was linked t reductins in perfrmance n sme learning and memry tests",说明摄入超加工食品对学习有负面作用,B选项正确。
12.答案: A
Parents f teenagers ften view their children’s friends with distrust, wrrying that their children will be pushed by their peers (同龄人) int ding smething flish r even dangerus.",即青少年的父母不信任孩子的朋友,担心孩子被同龄人怂恿做傻事或危险事,接着说"Their wrries hld water.",后面又通过之前的研究例子"a teenage driver with a same-age passenger in the car is at higher risk f traffic accidents than ne driving alne r with an adult"来证明这种担忧是有道理的,"hld water"意思就是"说得通,有道理,站得住脚",与"Make sense"意思相符,B选项"Face dubts(面临质疑)"不符合此处表达担忧合理的语境;C选项"Bring relief(带来宽慰)"与文意不符;D选项"Start debates(引发争论)"也不符合此处意思,所以答案是A选项。
The reward systems f the brain are activated whenever peple experience smething rewarding, like eating a nice-tasting fd, which make them feel satisfied. In this case, rewards are greater fr teens, which mtivates them t seek higher-risk experiences.",说明青少年大脑的奖励系统在被同龄人观察时会更活跃,这种奖励带来的满足感促使他们去寻求高风险体验,也就是他们危险行为背后的原因是这种想要获得满足感,答案是B选项。
The results shwed that teens playing with their peers engage in mre explratry behavir, learn faster and achieve better perfrmance n the task than thse playing alne."
16.答案: jgged; A; D; C; E

26.答案: A

④此处考查强调句结构"It is/was + 被强调部分+ that + 其他部分",这里强调的是主语"faith and curage",所以用"that"引导强调句。
As a Senir 1 student, we are likely t cme acrss many difficulties"作先行词,在后面的非限定性定语从句中作主语,指代前面整个句子的内容,所以用关系代词"which"引导定语从句。

⑩根据语境"Never be satisfied with..."
