What is predicative?
Predicative cmes after a verb such as be, becme, get, seem, lk etc. It tells what is said abut the subject.

Apart frm nuns and adjectives, t-infinitive, - ed, -ing can serve as predicative.
N, it can’t. because “interested” usually indicates a persn’s interest in smething while “interesting” usually indicates smething making a persn interested. In sentence (b), the subject is “he”, which refers t a persn.

Grammar: t-infinitive, -ing and -ed as predicative
动词不定式形式作表语时表示的动作往往是具体的、一次性的动作，特别是将来的动作。通常主语是表示 “目的，愿望，梦想，需求”等的名词或what引导的主语从句。My purpse is t climb t the tp f the snw Muntain. 我的目标就是要爬到雪山的顶部。
动名词作表语时表示一般性、习惯性的动作或抽象的动作，大部分时候主语与表语可以互换。The real questin is getting t knw the needs f the students. = Getting t knw the needs f the students is the real questin. 真正的问题是了解学生的需求。
现在分词（短语）作表语是形容词性的，表示主语具有的特征和属性，主语和表语不可换位。The news is really exciting.过去分词（短语）作表语时表示主语所处的状态或情感情绪等。The cups are brken.杯子碎了。(brken表示主语的存在状态)I am very disappinted at the news. 我对这个消息感到很失望。 (disappinted表示主语的情绪—感到失望)

动词不定式与动词-ing作表语的区别
动名词(短语)作表语表示一般性的动作；动词不定式(短语)作表语表示一次具体的动作或将要发生的事。
His hbby is painting. 他的爱好是画画。 (一般性的动作)Tday what he wants t d is (t) paint. 今天他想要做的事是画画。(具体的动作)His wish is t becme an artist. 他的愿望是成为一名艺术家。(将要发生的事)
过去分词与现在分词作表语的区别
英语中有很多与感觉有关的及物动词，其现在分词意为“令人……的”，多用来修饰物；其动词­ed意为“感到…的”,多用来指人/人的声音或表情等
不定式作表语和不定式表示将来时的区别

过去分词作表语和过去分词用于被动语态的区别
过去分词作表语说明主语所处的状态;过去分词用于被动语态说明主语所承受的动作。The cup is brken. 杯子碎了。(说明杯子所处的状态)The cup was brken by Peter. 杯子是被彼得打坏的。(说明杯子承受的动作)The painting remains unfinished. 这幅画仍未完成。(说明画的状态)The painting was finished by his apprentice.（说明画承受的动作这幅画是由他的徒弟完成的。）
