    William Sydney Prter (1862-1910), whse pen name was O. Henry, was a wrld-famus American shrt stry writer. In his stries, he ften fcused n the everyday life f rdinary peple in New Yrk City at that time. His stries are best knwn fr their surprise endings. S much s that peple nw refer t such endings as “O.Henry-style endings”. In these endings, there will be a sudden twist that results in an unexpected change f the characters’ inner wrld, experience, destiny, etc. thus creating an unexpected yet understandable result. Such endings will make the stry mre appealing and dramatic, as well as mre memrable fr its readers.

The mre friends yu have, the happier yu will be. Human beings are scial creatures. We cmmunicate with ther peple. If we have mre friends, we can get mre help frm ur friends when we are in truble. If we share happiness with friends, then ur happiness will multiply. Anther fact is mre peple can gather mre strength, which is als the case f friends. When yu have mre friends, yu will have mre chances t exchange ideas and knwledge with each ther. Therefre, yur wisdm will increase. Just as a saying ges, the wiser yu are, the happier yu will be. When I began my senir high, I just had tw fiends. When I wanted t talk abut my feelings with them, they were t busy. As time ges n, I have mre friends.
