Xu Xiake (1587~1641) was brn in Jiangyin city, Jiangsu prvince. Xu Xiake lved t read histry, gegraphy and bks abut adventure, travelling and s n. After 30 years f travelling, Xu Xiake wrte many travel diaries n famus muntains and ther places.

After his death, these diaries were cllected int a bk called The travel diaries f Xu Xiake. The bk prvides recrds f gegraphy, hydrlgy (水文地理学), gelgy (地质学) and plants.
