Imprve students' listening and speaking skills by listening t the intrductins and having cnversatins.

Step 1: Warming-up (5 minutes)
1. Shw sme pictures f famus places f interest arund the wrld, such as the Eiffel Twer in France, the Taj Mahal in India, and the Pyramids in Egypt. Ask students if they knw these places and what they think f them.
2. Lead in the tpic f this lessn by asking students: "D yu knw any famus places f interest in China?"
Step 2: Presentatin (10 minutes)
1. Play the audi f the intrductins and ask students t cmplete the ntes belw.
The Great Wall: Over (1) 20,000 kilmetres lng with a histry f mre than 2,000 years. One f the wnders f the wrld.
The Olympic Park: One f the places fr the 2008 Olympic Games. Sme (2) mdern buildings.
The Summer Palace: A traditinal Chinese garden. A place t enjy many (3) beautiful views.
The Natinal Museum f China: Mre than (4) 14 millin bjects. Wrks f art frm the past and present.
2. Check the answers with the students and explain the key wrds and phrases, such as "wnder", "mdern" and "wrks f art".
3. Shw sme pictures f the places f interest mentined abve and intrduce them in detail. Fr example:
The Great Wall: It is ne f the mst famus symbls f China. It was built t prtect the cuntry in ancient times. It is very lng and yu can see beautiful scenery when yu stand n it.
The Olympic Park: It was built fr the 2008 Olympic Games. There are many mdern buildings, such as the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube. These buildings are very
beautiful and unique.
The Summer Palace: It is a large and beautiful garden. There are many pnds, bridges, pavilins and palaces. Yu can enjy the peaceful and beautiful scenery here.
The Natinal Museum f China: It is a very imprtant museum that cllects a large number f precius bjects and wrks f art. Yu can learn a lt abut Chinese histry and culture here.
Step 3: Practice (15 minutes)
1. Ask students t wrk in pairs and talk abut what places they culd take the exchange students t. Use the cnversatin between Daniel and Amy as a mdel.
2. Invite sme pairs t present their cnversatins t the class and give feedback and encuragement.
3. Grup wrk: Divide the students int grups f fur. Each grup discusses and makes a list f places f interest they wuld like t shw the exchange students. Then, ne representative f each grup presents their list and explains the reasns.
Step 4: Prductin (10 minutes)
1. Suppse exchange students cme t yur hmetwn. Ask students t think abut which places f interest they wuld like t shw them and why.
2. Students write a shrt passage abut it. Encurage them t use the wrds, phrases and sentence patterns learned in this lessn.
3. Share sme students' writings and give cmments and suggestins.
Step 5: Summary and Hmewrk (5 minutes)
1. Summarize the key pints f this lessn, including the wrds, phrases and sentence patterns related t places f interest.
2. Ask students t search fr mre infrmatin abut a place f interest they are interested in and prepare t intrduce it t the class next time.
