I. Teaching Objectives

(2)T practice speaking and writing by describing animals using the
sentence structures frm the textbk.
(3)T create and present a prject abut an animal, incrprating the
vcabulary and structures learned.

(1)Speaking: T imprve fluency and cnfidence thrugh grup wrk,
prject preparatin, and presentatin.
(2)Writing: T rganize thughts and create shrt, structured written
reprts abut an animal.
3. Cultural Awareness
(1)T intrduce students t animals frm different parts f the wrld,
highlighting glbal bidiversity.
(2)T fster an appreciatin fr wildlife and the need fr envirnmental
cnservatin.
II. Teaching Fcus
1. Vcabulary: Wrds related t animals, habitats, diet, appearance, and
behavir.
2. Sentence Structures: Using the structures "It lives in...", "It eats...", "It
lks...", "It is...", "It is knwn fr...", etc.
3. Speaking and Writing Skills: Organizing infrmatin abut animals
and presenting it clearly.
III. Teaching Prcedures
Step 1: Warm-up
1. Activity : Animal Identificatin & Vcabulary Review
Shw a series f animal pictures t the class. Fr each picture, ask
students t:
Identify the animal : "What animal is this?"
Describe its appearance : "Hw des it lk?" (size, clr, features)
Discuss its habitat : "Where des it live?"
Behavir : "Is it friendly r dangerus?" "What des it d?"
Diet : "What des it eat?"
Example :
Shw a picture f a "panda":
"It’s a panda. It’s black and white. It lives in China, in the muntains. It
mstly eats bamb. It is peaceful and slw."
Step 2: Vcabulary Expansin (8-10 minutes)
2.Activity : Brainstrming Vcabulary
(1)Write the fllwing categries n the bard:
Animal Names (tiger, panda, dlphin, elephant, etc.)
Habitats (frest, cean, desert, grassland, etc.)
Diet (meat, bamb, fish, grass, etc.)
Appearance (furry, big, small, clrful, etc.)
Behavir (friendly, fast, dangerus, slw, etc.)
(2)Have students wrk in pairs r small grups t brainstrm mre wrds
fr each categry. Write their ideas n the bard.
Step 3: Prject Intrductin
3. Activity : Intrduce the Grup Prject
Prject Objective : Each grup will chse an animal, research its
characteristics, and present the infrmatin t the class.
Prject Structure :
Animal Name : What is the name f the animal?
Habitat : Where des it live?
Diet : What des it eat?
Appearance : Hw des it lk? (Size, clr, features)
Behavir : What is its behavir? (Friendly, dangerus, fast, slw, etc.)
Example
Animal : Panda
Habitat : The panda lives in the muntains f China.
Diet : It mstly eats bamb.
Appearance : It is black and white, with rund ears and a big bdy.
Behavir : Pandas are peaceful and spend mst f their time eating
bamb.
Step 4: Grup Wrk
4. Activity : Research and Organize the Prject
(1)Divide the class int small grups (3-4 students per grup).
(2)Prvide each grup with a wrksheet that includes the structure fr the
animal reprt.
(3)Students will wrk tgether t:
Chse an animal t research.
Gather infrmatin abut its habitat, diet, appearance, and behavir.
Write a shrt reprt (3-5 sentences) and rganize the infrmatin in
preparatin fr the presentatin.
Step 5: Grup Presentatins (7-10 minutes)
5. Activity: Grup Presentatins
(1)Each grup will present their animal t the class, using the sentences
they wrte during the grup wrk.
(2)The presentatin shuld include:
Intrductin f the animal
Infrmatin abut its habitat, diet, appearance, and behavir
Example Presentatin:
"Our animal is the elephant. It lives in Africa and Asia. It eats plants
and fruits. It is very large and gray, with big ears and a lng trunk.
Elephants are intelligent and can remember things fr a lng time."
IV. Hmewrk
Write a shrt paragraph (4-5 sentences) abut a different animal f the
student’s chice. The paragraph shuld include the animal’s habitat, diet,
appearance, and behavir.
