activities in a shrt text.
Writing:Practice writing sentences t describe persnal fitness rutines
and healthy habits.

Step 1: Warm-Up (5 minutes)
1. Lead in:
(1)Transitin int the lessn by asking: “What d yu usually d t stay
fit?”
(2)Encurage students t respnd with activities such as running,
swimming, eating healthy fds, etc.
(3)Write a few answers n the bard t mdel the target sentence patterns.
Step 2: Vcabulary Intrductin (5 minutes)
1. Present Vcabulary (1a):
(1)Write the fllwing vcabulary wrds n the bard: exercise, healthy,
diet, run, jump, swim, bike, sprts, rest.
(2)Shw images r actins related t the wrds. Fr example:
- Run: Shw a picture f smene running.
- Swim: Shw a picture f swimming r vide clip.
- Rest: A picture f smene resting after exercise.
(3)Ask students t repeat the wrds after yu fr prnunciatin practice.
2. Practice Sentences:
(1)Mdel sentences using the vcabulary:
- “I usually exercise in the mrning.”
- “I eat a healthy diet.”
- “I swim three times a week.”
(2)Encurage students t repeat after yu.
3. Interactive Activity:
(1)Shw flashcards with images f different activities (e.g., smene
running, biking, swimming, etc.).
(2)Ask students t match the image t the crrespnding vcabulary wrd.
(3)Afterward, have students use the wrds in sentences like:
- “I smetimes swim n weekends.”
- “I never eat junk fd.”
Step 3: Listening Practice (10 minutes)
1. Intrduce Listening Task (1b):
(1)Explain that students will nw listen t a cnversatin between tw
peple talking abut their fitness rutines.
(2)Tell them t listen carefully t identify what each persn des t stay
fit.
2. Play the Audi:
Play the audi nce and ask students t listen fr specific details abut
the characters’ fitness rutines.
3. Cmprehensin Questins:
After listening, ask students the fllwing questins:
- “What des Jhn usually d t stay fit?”
- “Des Lisa exercise every day?”
- “What kind f exercise des Lisa like?”
4. Play the Audi Again:
(1)Play the audi nce mre t ensure that students have understd the
details.
(2)Check answers as a class and review key infrmatin, such as:
- Jhn usually runs.
- Lisa likes swimming but desn’t swim every day.
Step 4: Speaking Practice (12 minutes)
1. Intrduce Sentence Patterns:
Write the sentence structures n the bard:
- “I usually...”
- “I smetimes...”
- “I never...”
Prvide examples:
- I usually run in the mrning.
- I smetimes play basketball.
- I never eat junk fd.
2. Pair Wrk:
(1)Have students wrk in pairs. One student asks questins, and the ther
answers using the target sentence structures.
Example Dialgue:
- A: “What d yu usually d t stay fit?”
- B: “I usually run in the park.”
- A: “D yu smetimes play sprts?”
- B: “Yes, I smetimes play basketball n weekends.”
- A: “D yu ever eat junk fd?”
- B: “N, I never eat junk fd.”
3. Grup Sharing:
(1)After 5-7 minutes f pair wrk, invite sme pairs t share their
cnversatins with the class.
(2)Give psitive feedback and crrect any mistakes in grammar r
prnunciatin.
Step 5: Reading Practice (8 minutes)
1. Intrduce Reading Text (1d):
Prvide a shrt reading passage abut a persn’s fitness rutine. Example:
- “Tm usually runs in the mrning and swims in the evening. He
likes staying fit. He eats a healthy diet, but he never eats junk fd.”
2. Cmprehensin Questins:
Ask students t read the passage silently. Afterward, check understanding
with these questins:
- “What des Tm usually d in the mrning?”
- “Des Tm eat junk fd?”
- “What des Tm d in the evening?”
Step 6: Writing Practice (5 minutes)
1. Writing Task:
Ask students t write 3-4 sentences abut their wn fitness rutines. Use
the sentence patterns they have learned tday:
- “I usually...”
- “I smetimes...”
- “I never...”
2. Share Writing:
Invite a few students t share their sentences with the class.
Step 7: Hmewrk
Ask students t write a paragraph (5-7 sentences) abut their fitness
rutine. Encurage them t use the target sentence structures and
vcabulary they learned in class.
