    Thrugh reading and discussin, cultivate students' reading cmprehensin and
    reasning ability.
    Guide students t imprve their cperative learning ability and prblem-slving
    ability thrugh grup cperative learning.
    3. Thinking quality gals
    Encurage students t use their imaginatin and develp innvative thinking and
    critical thinking.
    Let the students develp their lgical thinking ability in the prcess f analyzing
    the develpment and ending f the stry.
    4. Cultural awareness gals
    Understand the myths and legends in different cultures, and braden the cultural
    hrizn.
    Experience the values and mrals cnveyed by the stry.

    (I) Leading in (5 minutes)
    1. Shw a picture f the fisherman and a magic bttle, and ask the students, "
    What can yu see in the picture?"Lead the students t answer:" A fisherman and a
    bttle."
    2. Then ask, " What d yu think might happen in this stry?"Let the students
    freely use their imaginatin and share their ideas.
    (2) Read the beginning f the stry (10 minutes)
    1. Students shuld read the beginning f the stry in 2a t understand the
    backgrund and main plt.
    2. The teacher raises sme understanding questins, such as: " Why was the
    genie angry?” “What did the genie say t the fisherman?"Guide the students t answer
    and check the students' understanding.
    (Iii) Grup discussin (10 minutes)
    1. Divide students int grups f 4-5 students each.
    2. Give each grup a card t discuss questins that read:
    What wuld the fisherman say t the genie?
    Wuld the genie kill the fisherman? If s, hw?
    Wuld the fisherman succeed in saving himself? If s, hw?

    What wuld happen in the end?
    3. Students discuss these questins in the grup, use their imaginatin, and
    cnceive the end f the stry. Teachers shall inspect each grup and give them
    necessary guidance and help.
    (IV) Writing and sharing (15 minutes)
    1. Students will cntinue the end f the stry accrding t the results f the grup
    discussin.
    2. After cmpletin, students will exchange drafts with each ther in the grup,
    read and share thughts with each ther.
    3. Each grup chses a representative t tell the stry f the class.
    (V) Summary and evaluatin (5 minutes)
    1. Teachers shuld summarize and evaluate students 'perfrmance, affirm
    students' creativity and effrts, and pint ut the existing prblems and the directin
    f imprvement.
    2. Guide the students t review what they have learned in this lessn, including
    the plt, vcabulary and sentence patterns f the stry, and hw t write the stry.
    (VI)Teaching reflectin
    Thrugh the teaching f this lessn, the students actively participate in the
    activities such as reading, discussin and writing, give full play t their imaginatin
    and creativity, and better cmplete the cntinuatin task at the end f the stry. In the
    teaching prcess, the grup cperative learning methd effectively prmtes the
    cmmunicatin and cperatin between students, and imprves the learning effect f
    students. Hwever, in the prcess f students' writing and expressin, it is still fund
    that sme students d nt use the past tense accurately enugh, and it is necessary t
    strengthen the relevant grammar practice and cnslidatin in the future teaching.
