    Starting ut sectin aims t help students initially understand the Helping theme day at hme and abrad and the figures wh have made utstanding cntributins t sciety, stimulate students' interest in learning, activate their language knwledge and cultural knwledge related t the significance f the unit theme, and pave the way fr the learning activities f the whle unit. Activity 1 is a vide t intrduce China Charity Day and Pay It Frward Day abrad, t guide students t understand that bth Chinese and freign cultures advcate helping thers and participating in public welfare activities. Activity 2 requires students t lk at the peple in the pictures, read their qutes, understand their cntributins t sciety, and finally frm an identificatin f gd character and learn t express it.
    学情分析
    Excellent cnduct and sense f scial respnsibility are ne f the necessary cnditins fr cultivating students with all-rund develpment f mrality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labr in the new era. Teachers shuld pay attentin t guide students t deeply understand the nble character f rdinary peple in China wh are willing t help thers and the strength f gd deeds, understand the situatin f vlunteer service, and finally frm an active attitude t participate in vlunteer service activities. Students have accumulated certain language knwledge and cultural knwledge related t the meaning f the unit theme. Meanwhile, students are eager t help thers, be kind t thers, and actively participate in vlunteer activities. Students are als eager t use such accumulatin t express what they have learned and put it int practice, which can effectively pave the way and warm up fr the learning activities f the whle unit.

    2.Lk at pictures f three peple and read their qutatins, and then talk abut their cntributin and qualities.

    1. Students understand and can speak abut the basic circumstances f ur cuntry's Charity Day and the West Put It Frward Day, Be able t recgnize "Dnating mney is nt the nly way t help thers." and "One small act can make a big difference."2. Students can use apprpriate vcabulary t describe character qualities and cite mre character examples in cnnectin with what they have learned.

    Guide students t understand the vide, and thrugh lking at pictures and reading famus qutes, activate the existing language and backgrund knwledge, stimulate the interest in the tpic, understand the cmmn pints f Chinese and freign cultures advcating helping thers and valuing public welfare activities, and trigger students t think abut the tpic f "helping thers".

    This part encurages students t preview the gd habit befre class, and cultivates students' awareness f independent learning. After cmpleting the research n these characters befre class, and learning mre abut the backgrund knwledge f Fang Li Bai, Flrence Nightingale and Red Adair, students independently summarize the cntributins f each character. Guide students t think and give ther characters with similar qualities, which is cnducive t expanding students' thinking and imprving students' thinking quality.
