I’m taller than....学习难点:能运用核心句型完成连锁问答活动教学过程: 单元教材分析:本单元主要学习形容词的比较级,如果按照教材的编排直接教学,就会产生单元学习知识点分散、机械重复,因此,对本单元尝试“主题化分类比较”,本课时是本单元的A部分的词汇课,按教材编排在第二课时,如果为了给对话教学做好铺垫,我们可以作为开学第一节英语课,作为第一课时来设计,课本上所给的情景是同学之间进行年龄、身体、高度和长短的比较。正好是新年过后开学比较容易创设情景来教学。课前三分钟:T:Let’s show.一、Warming up T:Hello boys and girls.Welcome back to school.Everyone had a new year. How old are you? How tall are you?师生一起说歌谣,复习巩固与本节课相关的知识,即描述人的身体外貌特征。二、PresentationStep1:Let’s learnTask 1T:If you are taller than your partner, you can say: I’m taller than you. If you are older than your partner, you can say: You are old than you.板书tall--tallerold--older T:Miss White and the children are on the playground. They are compare with each other. Let’s have a look!Q:How tall is John?Let’s listen!S:He is 1.61 metres.1.教授taller and shorterT:(呈现标上数据的图片)But, Zhang Peng is 1.65 metres.So, Zhang Peng is taller than John. John is shorter than Zhang Peng.Let’s listen and repeat.教读taller 和 shorter其他的新授方式同上。2.教授younger和older教读younger 和 older教授longer 教读longerStep 2:Do a survey and make a report. _____ is ______ years old. He/She is taller/shorter than ______.Tips:1.Ask and answer in your group.2.Listen to the group leaders.3.Let’s show.为了更好帮助学生理解,这个地方可以渗透讲解形容词的比较级,可辅助图画等形式让学生明白。为了更好的呈现,可以给他们标上相应的数据。单词呈现时一定要听原汁原味的英语跟读。三、Consolidation活动:明星档案 活动方式:全班学生四人为一小组,根据教师提供的表格填写一位明星的个人资料。表格如下:学生填写好“明星档案”后,用一段话介绍一下各自喜欢的明星。如:I like Quan Hongchan. She is a diver. She is from China. She’s 15 years old and she’s 1.43 meters.
