教学目标
1.知识与技能:谈论缓解学习压力的活动类型,学会表达自己的观点,并能对别人的困境提出解决的办法和建议。
2.过程与方法:听前运用“头脑风暴”让学生谈论relaxing activities,适当补充;听中运用“有针对性听取信息”让学生着重听取表达烦恼、及提供建议的目标语言;听后运用“情景交际”策略,结合1a-1d谈论Wei Ming是怎样谈及烦恼、寻求建议,进行话题拓展。
3.情感态度与价值观:通过学习,教导学生正确看待生活中的各种压力,教会学生学会在课余之际适度的放松自己,做到劳逸结合。同时,通过了解国家“双减”政策,教导学生提高自己的学习效率及质量,关注自我的心理健康,建立正确、积极的生活态度和价值观。
教学内容
教学重点:
1. 能询问、陈述自己或他人的困难和麻烦talk abut prblems。
2. 能针对别人的困境提出解决的办法和建议give advice。
教学难点:
1. 谈论学习中常见的问题和缓解压力的活动。
2. 能根据真实情景比较不同的建议,找出最可行的缓解压力的办法。
教学过程
Step 1:Lead in
Use a vide t interest the students and lead in the tpic :stress.And then relate the tpic with students themselves by ding a class survey and let them share the ways they always use t lwer their stress.At the same time cmes the brainstrm t activate their vcabulary and pave the way fr activity 1a as well.
Step 2:Pre-listening
After finishing the first step,it becmes easier fr students t rder the eight relaxing activities and add sme ther nes.And the picture n the right is a gd example.Activity 1b can be used t let students share their answers and express smething they’ve just learned.(persnal presentatin)
Step 3:While-listening
Mve the fcus frm students’ wn stress r prblems t anther by named Wei Ming.Listen t the material t find ut what prblems he has and check them in the activity 1c.Accrding t the cnversatin,Wei Ming’s friend Alice gave him sme advice in rder t help him slve these three prblems.S fr activity 1d,rerganize the task t make it clearer t fill in the missing wrds f her advice.And then check the answers persnally.
Step 4:Pst-listening
After the tasks in the textbk,deal with the listening material t emphasize the the ways t talk abut prblems r pressure and give advice t lwer stress.What’s mre,let students develp the habit f imitating the native speakers’ prnunciatin and intnatin and try t experience their emtin.Activity 1e requests students t give Wei Ming their wn suggestins,s there’s a design that imagine students are ne f his friend and make a further cnversatin with him.(pairs presentatin) And task 1 is a retelling part which is designed t imprve the gal language frm wrds, phrases, cnversatins t a whle passage.As eighth-graders, the listening activities and listening material are kind f easy fr them.Therefre,expanding the tpic is necessary.Because f the heated discussin abut the new plicy”Duble Reductin ” which has strng relatin with children’s daily schl life,it’s a gd chice t add the plicy here.Als ,it can help students keep thinking abut the current news as well as develping their thughts.At first,shw an interview t see the effects n peers and then transfer the tpic t themselves:”Des the plicy lwer yur stress?”Next,let students discuss in grups and share their pinins and then shw them by debating with each ther.At last,make a cnclusin t make students knw it’s nrmal t have sme pressure in daily life,but d regard it crrectly and find the mst suitable way t lwer the stress and learn t relax!
