(一)Warming-up(5 分钟)
1. Greetings and free talk
Greet the students and have a free talk abut their favrite sprts.
Ask sme questins like: "What's yur favrite sprt? D yu ften play it?"
2. Lead-in
Shw sme pictures f different sprts and ask students t name them.
Then intrduce the tpic f this lessn: "Tday we'll talk abut hw ften we d these sprts."
(二)Presentatin(10 分钟)
1. Present the frequency adverbs
Present the frequency adverbs "seldm, smetimes, ften, hardly ever" n the PPT and explain their meanings and usage with examples.
Fr example: "I ften play basketball. She seldm ges swimming. They hardly ever watch TV."
2. Listen t 2a
Play the recrding f 2a fr the first time. Students just listen and try t get the main idea.
Play it fr the secnd time. Students listen and fill in the blanks.
Check the answers tgether.
(三)Practice(10 分钟)
1. Read 2b
Students read the cnversatin in 2b silently and tick the crrect bxes t shw hw ften the students d each sprt.
Check the answers in pairs.
2. Retell the cnversatin
Ask students t retell the cnversatin with the infrmatin frm the table in 2b. Encurage them t use the frequency adverbs crrectly.
Invite sme students t retell in frnt f the class.
(四)Prductin(15 分钟)
1. Listen and match
Play the recrding f 2d again. Students match the stress patterns with the clured sentences.
Check the answers and explain the stress patterns.
2. Rle-play
Students practice the cnversatin in pairs, paying attentin t the prnunciatin and intnatin.
Invite sme pairs t rle-play in frnt f the class.
3. Grup wrk
Divide the students int grups f fur. Imagine they have fund an item at a sprts centre and make up a cnversatin using the wrds and sentences prvided in 2e.
Walk arund the classrm and ffer help if needed.
Ask sme grups t present their cnversatins.
(五)Summary and Hmewrk(5 分钟)
1. Summary
Summarize the key pints f this lessn, including the frequency adverbs and the expressins abut sprts and their frequencies.
Encurage students t keep a healthy lifestyle by ding sprts regularly.
2. Hmewrk
Interview three f yur friends abut their sprts and recrd the results.
