    2.Learn hw t use the tw sentence patterns t express plite requests and ask fr permissin;
    3.Imprve students’ listening and speaking ability.

    Step ne: Warming-up activities
    Shw students a picture and ask them a questin: “What is the girl’s mther asking her t d?”. Then ask students tw mre questins t invke their interests.
    Q1: What chres d yur parents usually ask yu t d at hme?
    Q2: What d yu ask yur parents’ permissin fr?
    (Individual wrk is used here. This step is designed t intrduce the tpic and stimulate students’ interest. )
    Step three: Presentatin and Speaking
    First, teach students the phrases in 1a with the help f sme interesting pictures. Then ask students t read the phrases tgether.
    Secnd, play a game. Ask students t memrize the wrds in ne minute then ask them t receive the challenge f memry.
    Third, ask students t review the tw sentence patterns that we have learned in the last class.
    “Culd yu please ……?” ”Yes, sure./ Of curse./Certainly”
    “Srry, I can't.”
    “Culd I……?” “Yes, yu can.”
    “N, yu can’t.”
    Furth, set a situatin. Let students think if they want t have a party, what students will ask fr their parents’ permissin and what their parents will ask them t d. Ask students t rle play and make their wn cnversatins.
    (This step is designed t help students learn the phrases and review the sentence patterns. After a lt f input, students can have their wn cnversatins. Thus their speaking ability can be imprved.)
    Step fur: Listening
    Pre-listening: Shw students a picture f Sandy and her mm and intrduce what is happening between Sandy and her Mm. (This is designed t let students get familiar with the backgrund and activate their knwledge structure.)
    While-listening: Ask students t listen t the materials twice and finish tw tasks.
    Task 1: Ask students t listen t it carefully and finish exercise 1c. Check the things in 1a. Then check the answers. (class wrk)
    Task2: Ask students t listen again and fill in the blanks.
    Sandy wants t have a party. She wants t _______her friends t the party n Saturday. She needs t buy sme ________and _______. S she wants t ____sme mney ________her mther. Hwever, her mther will buy these ______ her. Althugh Sandy ________her rm last week, she needs t clean it again fr the party. She wants t use CD________. But she shuld be careful with it. And ne mre thing she culd ________ the big chairs ______ the bedrm and clean the living rm. Sandy ‘s gd friend’s Dave is _______early n Saturday t _______her.
    Then ask students t discuss the answers in grups and invite representatives t share their answers.
    Pst-listening:
    Ask students t read the listening materials tgether.
    Ask students t finish exercise P23 the situatinal dialgue.
    (This step is designed t imprve students’ listening ability. Listen t the key wrds. After finishing these tasks, they will learn the tpic better)
