Three men came to London for a holiday. They got to a very big hotel(旅馆) and took a room there. Their room was on the fortieth floor. In the evening the men came back very late.
“I'm sorry, ”said the waiter(服务员) of the hotel, “but our lifts(电梯) are not working now. You can’t use them. If you don’t like to walk up to your room on the fortieth floor, we hope you stay here on the first floor. ”
“No. ”said Tom, one of the three men, “we don’t like to stay here. We are going to walk up to the room. ”
Then he said to the other two men, “It is hard to walk up to the fortieth floor. But we can
