    【句式拓展】(1)如果所引导的从句表示的是真实的或极有可能发生的情况时,句子要用陈述语气。It sunds as if he has already knwn my secret.听起来他好像已经知道我的秘密了。(2)如果所引导的从句只是表示一种假设的情况,从句的谓语动词要用虚拟语气,其形式如下:
    She treated her adpted sn as if he were her wn child.她对待养子好像他是自己的孩子一样。The girl listened as if she had been turned int a stne.那女孩倾听着,像已经变成了石头似的。
    【温馨提示】如果as if引导的从句的主语和主句的主语一致,并且从句中用be的某种形式,则省略“从句主语+be”,从句就变成了“as if/as thugh+ adj./adv./介词短语/t d/ding/dne”。接动词不定式,表示句子主语好像要做某事;接动词-ing形式,表示句子主语好像正在做某事;接-ed形式,表示句子主语好像被……。He lked back and paused as if t wait fr smebdy.他回头看了看停下来,好像要等某个人。She std at the gate as if waiting fr smene.她站在门口好像在等人。The by std there with his head bent as if criticized by the teacher.男孩低着头站在那儿,好像被老师批评了。
    重点语法过去分词作表语和状语一、过去分词作表语1.用法过去分词作表语表示主语所处状态或主观心理感受,相当于形容词的作用。They all felt challenged.他们都感觉受到了挑战。Mr Brwn and Mary are married.布朗先生和玛丽结婚了。Tm was disappinted t hear his friend was unable t cme.汤姆听到他的朋友不能来很失望。The windw f my rm is brken.我房间的窗户是坏的。注意: 表示感觉的一些过去分词 (surprised,disappinted,excited,pleased 等 ) 及其他一些过去分词(dressed,drunk,devted,lst,knwn,married,bent,recvered,separated 等)常可用作表语,表示状态。其中有些只表状态,毫无被动意义。
    2.过去分词作表语与被动语态的区别(1)被动语态强调动作,主语是动作承受者;过去分词作表语说明主语的状态或特征。The nvel was written abut ten years ag.这本小说是大约10年前写的。The nvel is well written.这本小说写得很好。(2)被动语态后常接by短语,表示动作的执行者;而过去分词作表语后不接by短语,但可以接其他的介词,表示特征。The small twn is surrunded with hills n three sides.那个小城镇三面环山。He was frightened because he was surrunded by a lt f dgs.他很害怕,因为他被一群狗围着。
    二、过去分词作状语1.过去分词作状语时的意义过去分词(短语)作状语,说明谓语动词的动作和状态,其逻辑宾语是句子的主语,也就是说过去分词与句子的主语之间是被动关系。Seen frm the building,the garden lks beautiful.(see的逻辑宾语是garden)从楼上看,这个花园很美丽。
    2.过去分词作状语时的作用由于过去分词(短语)具有副词的某些特征,因此在句中可以作时间、条件、原因、让步、伴随或结果等状语。(1)时间状语Asked why he was absent frm class,the little by lied that he was ill.当被问到他为什么没有上课时,那个小男孩撒谎说他病了。Questined by the plice,Mr Brwn was at a lss what t d.警察询问布朗先生时,他不知所措。(2)条件状语Given enugh water,the newly-planted trees wuldn’t have died.浇足水,这些新栽的树就不会死了。Cmpared with his brther,Tm seems mre diligent.与他弟弟相比,汤姆好像更勤奋。
    (3)原因状语Frightened by the terrible nise,Mary didn’t dare t g ut alne at night.受到可怕声音的惊吓,玛丽晚上不敢独自外出。Encuraged by the prgress he has made,he wrks harder.受到所取得成绩的鼓舞,他工作更努力了。(4)让步状语Defeated by Class Three in the basketball game,they didn’t lst heart.虽然他们在篮球比赛中被三班打败,但他们没有灰心。Published many times,his bk still sells well in the market.尽管发行过多次,他的书在市场上仍然很畅销。
    (5)伴随或结果状语The prfessr entered the lecture hall,fllwed by a grup f students.教授进了讲演厅,后面跟着一群学生。He finally arrived,tired ut frm such a lng walk.他终于到达了,走那么长的路累得他不得了。
