It made her kids very disappinted. And fr the secnd turist, since the bat went back late and he missed his flight.
That made him quite annyed and he asked fr a full refund. Fr the last turist, he cmplained they saw nly ne whale and that was nt what they had expected. He asked a full refund and I prmised t refund half the fare. I d feel srry fr what happened.

Suppse yu were a witness, chse ne sad stry t tell yur friend based n the infrmatin yu have written dwn.
I happened t have a hliday in Hawaii. And it was s sad t see a girl, wh was attacked by a shark when she was surfing in the sea. Her left arm was bitten ff just belw the shulder. Frtunately she was resting cmfrtably in hspital sn, accrding t her father. It was a hrrible hliday fr her and fr all the peple wh witnessed it. It is nt always safe when yu are in the sea.
D all the sharks attack / kill peple?
Watching a vide
Read the statements belw and see hw many yu can answer. Yu can check yur answers while watching.1. D sharks play an imprtant rle in the sea?2. Why is verfishing vulnerable (脆弱的) t sharks?3. Are sharks highly evlved (进化的) and sphisticated (复杂的) animals?4. What is the significance t study sharks?
Read the transcript and find the answers t the questins
As tp predatrs(掠食者), sharks have an imprtant rle t play. And because they d nt reprduce quickly, sharks are vulnerable(脆弱的) t verfishing. And while many peple are afraid f sharks, mst d nt represent a threat t peple at all. The wrld‘s largest shark, the Whale shark, grws larger than a bus, but eats nlyplanktn(浮游生物) and small fish. Even mean
lking sharks with pinty(尖的) teeth like the Sand Tiger shark prefer t eat fish and never attack peple. The mre we learn abut sharks, the mre we discver hw little we knw abut them. Even the idea f a feeding frenzy(争食) isn't really true. I get up clse t sharks all the time while they are feeding
and I have never been bitten. This grup f ver 30 Caribbean(加勒比海) reef sharks is cmpetitively feeding n a frzen chum(鱼饵) ball. They are all arund me, but they are nt interested in biting me.They knw that there is fd available, and I'm nt it, s I just sit back and enjy watching the
actin. And when all the bait(诱饵) is gne, the actin is ver, and I'm perfectly fine. Far frm being the hrrific mnsters f legends, sharks are actually highly evlved(进化的) and sphisticated(进化的) animals with a range f senses and abilities unmatched in the animal wrld. The study f sharks may teach
us many things abut ur wrld and maybe even abut urselves.
At an internatinal cnference, n behalf f WWF yu are ging t give a shrt speech t call n peple t pay mre attentin t the prtectin f Sharks. Yur speech may cver the fllwing:1. What prblems the sharks are facing;2. What slutins can be taken;3. What is the significance.
Distinguished guests, I am Li Hua frm WWF. As we all knw, sharks are usually cnsidered dangerus by mst f us since smetimes peple are attacked by them. Hwever, accrding t the experts mst shark d nt represent a threat t peple at all. And as tp predatrs, sharks have an imprtant rle t play in the cean.
They are actually highly evlved and sphisticated animals with a range f senses and abilities unmatched in the animal wrld. But it is sad t find ut sme sharks are dying ut since they d nt reprduce quickly and they are vulnerable t verfishing. S here I call n mre peple t pay attentin t the prtectin
f it. I am sure the study f sharks may teach us many things abut ur wrld and maybe even abut urselves. Lve animals, s that humans are nt alne. Thanks fr yur listening and yur attentin!
1. Read the transcript f the vide and pay attentin t the prnunciatin and intnatin.2. Write dwn yur speech and share it with yur classmates by Wechat.
