Let students to some volunteering activities by using the following questions: ① Who are they? ② How could we help others?Step 2 New words1. Read and repeat the new words.2. Use these words to make new sentences. Emphasis the usage of these words.Step 3 Discussion1. 1a. Look at the ways you could help others. Then list other ways.2. Ss discuss with their partners and write the ways one could help other.① Help plant trees by the river.     ② Help clean up the city park.③ Visit the old people in the old people’s home.④ Help young ids to learn English.Step4 Listening1. Tell Ss to read the sentences in the chart. Make sure they now the meaning of the sentences..2. 1b Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the ways the boy and girl could help others.
