Activity and Research:
Music Party
This activity is design for students to show their talents.On one hand,they have to find out the information of the famous singer,which can greatly raise their interest on music.On the other hand,they have their own chance to show their talents.They can also experience the feeling of being spotlight.From learning by doing,students can learn a lot about music.
Suppose the class is going to hold a music party.Each group will have to prepare some performances.They will have to do the following things.
1.Divide the students into the four group.
2.Each group will search the Internet to collect different kinds of music.This is the preparation of music riddle.
3.Discuss with your partners which kinds of music you like most.And then find out one singer who is famous for playing this kind of music.Look for more information about him or her so that the group can have a better understand.
4.Choose one kind of music you like best and one representative song you like most.Then practise it with your partners.Students are expected to play it at the music party.So they have to decide who will sing,who will play the keyboard,who will play the drum,who will play the guitar,etc.
5.At the party,the activities are played as followed:
a.The host introduces the guests and the competitors.
b.Music riddles.Play different kinds of music one by one to let the students guess,and see which group can get them all right.
c.Presentation.The groups present their information of the famous singers.
d.Appreciation.Different groups play different music.The audience can appreciate their performances
e.The judges decide which group has done the greatest job.
f.Sing a song together and the party is over.
