IV. Teaching procedure:

Step 1: Words review.

      Ask several students to finish the blanks on  PPT 3-4

Step 2: Difficulties and key sentences explaination appeared in the text.

  1. interview (n./v.) 采访, 会见, 面试

    interviewer (采访者)

    interviewee (被采访者)

  2. find out 查明，弄清情况

    find  sb. out  查处（坏人）；识破

  3. It+be +被强调部分+that/who+句子其余部分。

  4. not only A, but (also)B  不但……而

  5. allow sb sth           允许某人某事

allow sb in (out)     允许某人进入（出去）

allow sb to do sth   允许某人做某事 (不能说allow to do)

allow doing sth           允许做某事

be allowed to do sth  被允许做某事

  6. Nor / Neither + 助动词 +主语 …也一样…(否定句)

So +助动词+主语 …也一样…（肯定句）

so+主语+助动词   …确实这样

  7. as+adj.+不可数名词+as

    charge n. （商品和服务所需的）要价；收费；掌管；指控；指责 

    charger  n. 充电器

    vt. & vi. 收费；要价；指控；指责；使……承担责任

   8. physical  adj.     物理的；物质的；身体

     physically   adv.         身体上；体格上

     physics   n.                 物理；物理学

     physicist  n.                物理学家

     physician  n.             （内科）医生

   9. take the place of   代替（=take one’s place)

Step 3: Exercise on text book.

1).Pair work: One student say English meaning and the other student to guess the word to finish exercise 1. on page 12.

2). Ask students to do exercise 2 and then check the answers.

  3). Group work : Do exercise 3 in groups. After finishing the exercise, ask students read out the answers one by one.

Step 4: Homework.

1. Finish exercises 1 and 2 on page 50.

2.  Prepare  for next period by doing exercise 1 on page 13.
