Step I : Greetings

     The teacher greet the whole class.

      Review some words of this period:

Step III: Lead-in & Warming up  (PPT 4—6)

1. Warming up by learning about wildlife

Wildlife is all non-domesticated plants, animals, and other living things. Domesticated wildlife are plants, animals, and other living things that have been removed from nature and raised in an environment that is more or less controlled. Domestication, act of taming, or controlling, wild plant and animal species and producing them for human benefit, is performed often and has an impact on the environment, both positive and negative.

Wildlife is a very general term for life in ecosystems. Deserts, rainforests, plains, and other areas—including the most built-up urban sites—all have distinct forms of wildlife.

2. Can you give the names of the following animals? (PPT8--16)

Teacher show some pictures ,let students tell the name of the animals.

Step IV: Discussing 1 (PPT 18—27 )

As we all know that some of these animals are facing die out, in order to survive they must look after themselves well. Now please have a discussion :

Why are these animals dying out?

Why are they endangered?

(Give students about 3 minutes )

Now ,please think another two questions:

Who is the most dangerous enemy of animals?

What should we do to protect the wildlife?

( Let students discuss in pairs ,then teacher help them to summrise.):

Protect the environment.
Help animals return to nature.

Never kill endangered animals.

Never buy endangered animals’ products and tell your friends not to do so too!

Laws should be passed to prevent people from killing or hunting them.

Eco-system & Environment protection areas are being built.

People are educated to be aware of the importance of wildlife protection
