Businesses and the cmmunity in general raise mney r dnate equipment such as bat and canes, sun shelters, lifesaving equipment and flags. On weekends, when vlunteer lifesavers are at wrk, sme twn cuncils pay lifeguards t patrl the mst ppular beaches.
Several times during the summer, surf lifesaving clubs hld carnivals at which they display their lifesaving skills and hld cmpetitins between different clubs.
