1. 非限制性定语从句不能由that引起e.g. I study in the schl, that is far away frm my hme.(×) I study in the schl, which is far away frm my hme.(√)2. 非限制性定语从句中介词后的关系代词指代人只能用whm,指代物只能用which不能用其他。
1 多数能够引起限制性定语从句的关系词,也能引起非限制性定语从句。 2 能够引起非限制性定语从句的关系词在从句所做的成分跟在定语从句中的成分是一致的。

as和which引导非限制性定 语从句的区别。
1)关系代词as和which都能引导非限制性定语从句代表整个句子内容,as引导的定语从句可位于句首或句末;which引导的定语从句却不能位于句首。

2)★as 在从句中作主语时,后面常接行为动词的被动语态,如be knwn, be said,be reprted等; 另外,它还有“正如…”的意思。★如从句中行为动词是主动语态,一般要用which作主语,一般翻译为“这…” She has been late again, _____ was expected. Tm has made great prgress, _____ made us happy.

限制性定从的先行词往往为某一个词或短语,而非限制性定从的先行词可以是某个词,也可以是整个主句,代整个句子的时候常由which引导。

在限制性定语从句中宾语可以省略,但在非限制性定语从句中宾语不可省略。
