本课首先让学生看一段视频讨论来引出本节主题“disabilities”，进而通过一些图片让学生讨论感受残疾人在日常生活中会有哪些困境？同时回顾关于 disabilities的一些常用词汇。学生听课文录音，根据所听内容回答问题。然后速读课文，通过回答部分问题，抓住课文的大意。之后再精读课文，并且根据课文内容判断正误。通过对课文中出现的重难点词汇和句式进行讲解和练习之后，进行一个短文填空的小测试，以此来巩固对课文的理解。最后进行所学内容进行总结和回顾。     在引出话题时，通过视频，更加直观形象。复习关于残疾人的词汇时可通过一人表演多人抢答的形式。对于课文的理解利用了听，读，讲，练，写的形式，既掌握了本课的重难点，同时提高学生语言的运用能力。最后在“手拉手”的歌曲声中结束本课。
