SHENYANG—Theremains f 117 Chinese PepleJs Vlunteers (CPV) slders killed in the 1950-53 Krean War returned t China n Sunday n the eve f the Cmmemrative Day f Martyrs(烈士纪念日).
This is the seventh annual repatriatin(遣送),fllwing a handver agreement signed between China and the Republic f Krea,and als the largest since the initial(最初的) return f 437 sldiers in 2014. Between 2014 and 2019,the remains f 599 sldiers were returned.
Earlier n Sunday, the ROK handed ver the remains at a ceremny at Inchen airprt utside Seul. A Chinese military transprt plane,escrted(护卫) by tw Chinese fighter jets,carried the remains and belngings f the fallen sldiers back and landed at Taxian
Internatinal Airprt at 11 : 18 am in the nrtheastern Chinese city f Shenyang near the brder f the Demcratic Peples Republic f Krea. Y-20 aircraft,the largest and mst advanced dmestically develped transprt aircraft,carried ut the task fr the first time. It was labeled(贴标签于) with the serial number 01,as a mark f high respect fr the martyrs.
Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan attended the ceremny alng with CPV sldiers and citizens. China has never frgtten its fallen heres and the cntributin they made, Sun said in a speech.
Chinese peple always remember the fighting spirit f defending the mtherland, and China will remember the past and cherish peaceful internatinal envirnment,Sun said.

Kader Rahman, a 46-year-ld embriderer(刺绣工) in the city f Hami in China, is helping lift ver a hundred peple ut f the pr cnditins using traditinal Hami embridery.
The embridery has a histry f mre than 400 years. When a wman gets married in Hami, her mther usually makes her a set f hand-embridered bedding including pillws and cushins as a dwry. Embridery is still an essential part f life fr peple in Hami. It is fund n peple's clthing, bedding and ther articles f daily use. Ppular patterns include brightly-clred flwers and animals.
At a traditinal handicraft center in Hami, Rahman has nt nly designed mre than 300 prducts featuring Hami embridery but trained ver a hundred peple as part-time embriderers. "Bth ur embridering skills and lives are getting better and better," he said. The center, which was funded in 2016, has develped mre than 1,300 embridery prducts including earphnes and ntebks.
