M: I d get nervus, s I never think abut ther skaters. I fcuses n the audience hping they enjy it-- then I skate well. If I start thinking abut the judges, then I make mistakes.
W: Yu have t practice every day bviusly. D yu have time fr any hbbies?
M: Nt much. I g swimming whenever I can --that was my first lve befre skating. I'd lve t g hrse riding r play tennis, but I can't fit everything in.
W: I hear that yu're ging t be in a TV shw next week. Yu must take pride in yurself, aren't yu?
M: Yu culd say that again. I always lved the TV shw Ice Champins when I was a child and I really can't believe that I'm ging t be ne f the judges.
W:What kind f things will yu be lking fr as a judge?
M: Well, the skaters shuld shw that they are able t d all the mves withut any prblems. Each skater has a partner. They can't chse wh they skate with but they can decide which music they want t skate t.
W: It sunds like an interesting shw. Thank yu, Karl.
