1. Review the numbers 11 and 12.

2. Understand the sentences “Look at the tree.” “So many birds!” and “Let’s count.”.

3. Can use the two sentences communicate.

4. Review the sentences learned in last class.

2. Can understand and ask “How many green birds?”

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1: Warming up

1. Sing and say hello.
2. Review the chant.
3. Read the chant together with gestures.
4. Review the four words: balloon, bed, bear, doll.

(A game: T writes the four words on the blackboard, and then read three of them; Ss say the word T doesn’t read.)

Step 2: Presentation and practice

1. A game: Listen and do.

(T: “Point to the ceiling. Point to the window. Stand up! Open your book. Sit down! Close your book. Look at the door.”)

2. T makes gesture to explain the sentence “Look at the door.”
3. Continue to play the game.

(Look at the teacher. Look at the ceiling. Look at the floor. Look at the window….)

4. T shows several cards and asks “What’s this?”

Teach the new word “tree”. Read and mime a tree.

T: “Look at the tree.” Get the Ss to look at the tree card.  Read and make gestures.

Get the Ss to look at the big tree.

T: “Look at the tree. So many birds! ”

5. Make gesture to explain the phrase “so many…”.

Write “So many birds!” on the blackboard.

Read after T and then read together.

6. T: “Oh, how many birds? Let’s count.”

Teach “Let’s count.”

Count the birds in the tree together.

“OK, now, let’s count, how many birds? One…”

7. Review the number eleven and twelve.

T: “How many birds?” Ss: “Twelve birds.”

8. Listen to the CD first time and try to understand the meaning.
9. Listen to the CD again and try to answer 2 questions:

a)        How many birds?

b)        How many green birds?

10. Read the text, point sentence by sentence.
11. T: Look, a tree. How many blue birds? Ss answer. Practise in pairs.  Act it . (SBunit2 part2.)
12. Game: Teacher show a box and some beautiful things. Catch some, let Ss guess the number.      T: How many …?
13. SB unit2 part4 Listen and say, makes a example.
