Step 1: Warming up
“What am I saying? Please look carefully and guess.”(bear, bed, balloon, doll, desk, fox, seat...)
“Hello! How are you? Good morning! How old are you? ...” Step 2: Presentation
(T hides a pencil. Ss ask T: “Where’s the pencil?” T tells them the answer beside their ears.) “Look, I have a pencil. Now I hide this pencil. Where’s the pencil? Do you want to know? Please ask me.”
Ss try to guess the location of the pen. “Is it …?” Write the two sentences on the blackboard: Is it under the bed? Yes, it is. Read after teacher. Ask several students read it. Read fast group by group. Continue to play the game.
Where’s the pencil? Where’s the pencil? I don’t know. I don’t know. Is it on the box? Is it on the box? Yes, it is. Yes, it is. Learn and perform. Step 3: Listen and say Part 1 on page 2:
“Listen to the CD. Try your best to imitate its pronunciation.”
(Get them know that how to read part one in their home.) Part 2 on page 3:
(Listen to teacher’s sentence, and then read it fast group by group.)
Step 4: Ending
Listen and read part two five times.
