二. 现在进行时表示正在进行的动作或存在的状态。一般有be动词(am, is, are)加上动词的现在分词(即动词的ing形式)构成。通常句子中常有nw, Lk! Listen! It’s tw ’clck nw.等表示正在进行的时间状语。
三．动词的现在分词的构成：
1 .一般情况下在词尾直接加ing
think---thinking sleep---sleeping study---studying
speak---speaking say---saying d→ding，sing→singing，……
2 .以不发音的字母e结尾的单词，去掉字母e，再加ing
wake---waking make---making cme---cming take---taking leave---leaving
have---having dance----dancing ride----riding write---writing use→using
hike→hiking see→seeing
以重读闭音节结尾，呈现“辅，元，辅”结构的动词，先双写末尾的辅音字母，再加ing stp---stpping sit---sitting run---running frget---frgetting begin---beginning
还有：begin，cut, get, hit, run, sit, stp, set, swim, fit, dig, frget等。
4. 以ie结尾的动词，把ie改为y ，再加ing die→dying lie---lying
以上规则用一句话概括成的口诀就是：直接双写去e，ie变y ing
