    1. Ask the students t read the wrds in Activity 1.
    2. Play the recrding and ask the students t listen t the recrding carefully.
    3. Listen and number the sprts as yu hear them.
    4. Nw match the wrds with the pictures.
    5. Ask the students t check their answer with a partner.
    6. Call back the answer frm the whle class and check the answer.
    7. Ask the students t read the wrds in Activity 2.
    8. Lk at the sprts in Activity 1 and talk abut them.

    —Spain scred a minute ag. 西班牙(队)一分钟前得分了。
    在第一个句子中,scre 是名词,意思是“比分,进球数”;第二个句子中的scre 是动词,表示“得分,进球”。例如:

    经过两小时二十分钟的比赛,最终比分为三比二。

    多音节形容词和部分双音节形容词的比较级形式是在词前加mre。多音节形容词及部分双音节形容词比较级的句式结构为“主语+ be+ mre+多音节形容词/双音节形容词+than+其他”。e.g. Running is mre relaxing than playing basketball.
    跑步比打篮球更放松。
    Ping-png is mre ppular than baseball in China.
    在中国乒乓球比棒球流行。

    3. What’s the matter with yu, Tny?
    “What’s the matter?”意为“怎么了?”,后面跟宾语时要加介词with,即What’s the matter with sb. / sth.?,它的同义句是“What’s wrng with sb. / sth.? ”。
    e.g. What’s the matter with yur sister? = What’s wrng with yur sister?
    你妹妹怎么了?

    5. And staying at hme was easier than ging t the stadium. 呆在家里比去体育馆容易。stay at hme“呆在家里”,在句子中作主语,因此要用动名词或不定式形式。

    miss用作动词,含义比较广泛,可以表示“未击中,未达到;错过”,
    e.g. The ball just missed my head.
    刚刚那个球差点打中我的头。

    孩子们错过了早班车。
    也可表示“思念;想念”。
    e.g. My gd friend mved t anther city last year. I miss him very much.
    去年我的好朋友搬到另一个城市了。我非常想念他。
    表示“错过”时,后面跟v.-ing形式,不能跟不定式。
    e.g. David and his friend missed seeing the film.
    戴维和他的朋友错过了电影。
